How To Fix Apple's New Features | It So Much Better

Apple Intelligence has been rolled out slowly but surely and there's a ton of stuff it doesn't yet. Luckily there's a group of apps that can fix it.

Siri needs to have an actual app with history and stuff

Image Playground is generating photos on your device without the need for an Internet connection. The other apps you mentioned, on the other hand, uses the internet to generate images and stores data that you provide. Therefore, Apple’s achieving this is quite impressive.

A suggestion is to try using image Playground in Notes then you can tell it to draw a house, etc. does that better. Also, Apple has restricted it. It cannot use any person unless have a photo image and you can’t use specific car types either. For example, 10:03 you can’t say Ferrari and have it generate a Ferrari.

I prefer to have a history of the questions/answers for Siri, but I can't find one either. If Apple is going to provide an AI experience they need to be able to keep a history if it in a Chat GPT or Gemini-style interface, even if it's in a separate app/web interface to access it. I'd appreciate that. Otherwise, I will continue to use GPT app or web interface.

A history of conversations with SIRI and ChatGPT is a must. I do think the integration of SIRI with ChatGPT is really nice once you (in Setting) turn off the option so SIRI does not keep ask you every single time "do you want to send this to chatGPT" turn that feature OFF and the integration is SOOOO much better. Translating words in an image works really well. I recently went to Mexico and translating between Spanish to English worked well. I like that I have one interface. We are so used to SIRI and the SIRI voice already. But we just wish SIRI was smarter. I think most people would really love that. I don't think most people are complaining about the interface as much as SIRI is just Dumb or more than that SIRI cannot even recognize what I said. In this respect. I like that SIRI asking an expert for me then come back with the information/answer. Is great. Again adding a History feature would be helpful. I also setup in setting SIRI to respond back to me in voice mode. If it was not for ChatGPT I still think SIRI itself is still Dumb.

The problem for Apple with an easily accessible Siri log is it conflicts with their privacy push. But yeah, I’ve been saying this is something that needs to be addressed somehow. Personally, I’d like to see Siri be a contact with a Messages history-which of course you can clear or delete individual messages from at will. And that “conversation” would include all Siri interactions by default.

While Apple may lag in some areas of AI, its privacy-first approach appeals to users prioritizing security over advanced AI features. Moreover, its strengths in hardware-software integration (e.g., Face ID, on-device processing) demonstrate a focused, albeit less flashy, AI strategy that being said a smarter A.I would threaten privacy those who don’t understand should look into that .

I used Image playground a little and some of the images are cool but I agree it is limited.

there are two logins for chat GPT in the iphone. did you sign into both?

I experience the same with Image Playground. Weird eyes, weird teeth. But yes you can generate images without a person/human involved. You do not need to choose an image to use. You can type in the text box whatever you want to generate. I first chose chickens (because I own chickens and ducks) and the all of the chicken feet had way too many toes. Super weird. The ducks were better generated, but often there would be a duck head that had two bills or was a cyclops, or random weird things. And unfortunately they tend to use only two breeds of duck in the LLM (white Pekin, and male Mallard). Ducks either looked white or they were male Mallard colored. Weird. It really disappointed me. I will keep occasionally playing around in it hoping to find some good images to keep.

Apples actions these days are floundering. A prime example is Apple changing their great IOS photos app into a complete mess.

I was able get image playground to do my dog. It looked generic enough to be any dog really. I turned off Apple Intelligence afterwards.
