Thanks Doreen - you just saved me about A$400 for a technician callout. Following your troubleshooting steps, I fixed this myself in about 45mins.

I LOVE hearing this. Now you know what to do next time! Keep in mind that I have more dishwasher videos that show you what to do if you get any other error codes on your dishwasher.

Doreen, wanted to thank you, last night I was vacuuming and noticed a little water under the dishwasher, I the saw a slow drip under the rubber foot to adjust the height. I watched your video and noticed all the same noises and f-10 error code. I was able to shut off the circuit, remove the front lower panel (6 screws) and drain the unit with a siphon hand pump from Amazon I luckily had. I went under the sink and cleared out the drain hose and actually my kitchen P-TRAP was loaded with crap..... I took care of it all LOL. I flipped the breaker back on and code was clear and unit runs like new again. I have to say, I did not use the ASKO for like 3 years and found it was weird it was loaded with smelly water so I am thinking it was linked to my Garbage disposal and that backup actually ran down into the drain hose to the dish washer. Sorry for the long story, but it may help someone else. AGAIN ALL MAKE SURE THE CIRCUIT IS OFF IF YOU REMOVE THE FRONT PANEL AS THERE ARE WIRES AND POSSIBLE WATER IN PAN. Thanks Doreen - Chris in NJ

This is good to know! Thanks for sharing how things went for you. It'll be nice to use that info in case I ever notice a drip under the dishwasher. Thanks! And thanks for your feedback :)

Very helpful. Thanks for posting. I sometimes fix this with an air compressor using the drain pipe that is near the sink. This looks like a good idea when that doesn't work. I'm trying it next. The other thing is, I have to say, I've never seen and underpart of a kitchen sink that looks this clean.

Haha! I’ve had gross under sinks before, and after building this house and getting a chance at a fresh start I’ve worked hard to keep it nice. Thanks for noticing my efforts 😂

@@doreenrg Well, it's pretty nice. Maybe post again ten years from now and THEN we'll see.

The overflow error code where the pump just keeps going is caused by this: There is a "tray" under the dishwasher where the pump and electronics are. The mentioned float is a sensor in this area. So on mine the error code is F10, but i guess overflow is the key here. This tray is filled with dirty smelly water. The float triggers and the pump starts. You can access this are by removing the cover in the pedestal, and remove the water with a sponge to temporarily solve the issue. You have a leaking machine. I guess you might be able to trigger F10 by a gentle kick to cause a small wave to trigger the floatsensor.

You're welcome! So glad it resolved your issue. It feels good to know how to fix your own stuff, huh? And saving $150 is the cherry on top of it all.

You’re welcome! Glad it helped! No you know for the lifetime of your dishwasher what to do to troubleshoot and likely get it running again without having to call an appliance guy! 👍🏻👍🏻

Thank you so much. So I unplugged it but nothing came out or seemeds stuck? Was that the case with yours? Does this mean it's another issue?

After following this video, did your dishwasher start working again? If not, I have some other videos on my channel that you can try. You will usually get an F11 or F12 error if it's something else. I would encourage you to watch my other dishwasher videos even if your dishwasher is up and running again, because those videos show you how to keep from running into problems in the first place. Anytime my dishwasher throws an error code now, I clean out the things I show you in my other videos and it always gets it up and running again. Hope that helps!

@@doreenrg Will do! No, the dishwaser didn't work fully - it run 35 mins out of 50 mins and then the same error code came back. I heard there might water/leak at the bottom of the dishwasher/door. Ill have to open it up but before I did wanted to confirm with some research. Thanks again!

Try and see if this video helps: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bomoiJeerqp8j8k If that link doesn't work, just search "How to fix ASKO Dishwasher F10 and F11 ERROR CODES and How to Drain Dishwasher" and click on that video of mine. This is a brief, but more detailed video of what else could be causing your problem.

I have not gotten that error code yet, but when I do I’ll make a video and let you know! In the meantime, let me know if you are able to fix it. Id try cleaning out the screen at the bottom of the dishwasher by removing it and cleaning that all out good. Seems like every time my dishwasher is acting funny and I do this then it starts working fine again. I show how to take out and clean that screen at the bottom in another one of my dishwasher videos.
