Just FYI. You can knock the restrictive centre part out if the stock CDV to derestrict it. This means you don't have to stretch the pipe at all. It also looks stock! 😉 If you really wanted to you, could buy a new valve and knock the centre out of that one. This job then turns into a valve swap, which is a lot quicker and less likely to lose any fluid/get air bubbles!

Bloody hell. I was like hooooly.... when took it out .....You know I was thinking that my left leg is wooden and dont know how to shift properly. I thought it was due to old clutch plate or pressure plate. As I was planning to change the clutch I believed it will solve the issue. After change still the same :(. But no issue when I drove other car. Anyway when I took this clutch "dicky" valve I have stopped to check my leg if its wooden :D. I am happy to find this video made by George. If you want to learn about your BMW do support George and stick with his channel. I can feel that soon or later all who support him will be amazed in the future. George is top honest man I think!

Hi George. So .. I've bought a 1 series but the MK2 with the F20 "Prince" engine and it suffers with clutch judder when pulling away with a cold engine. There is no "delay". It does improve a bit when the engine has warmed up. My question is .. does this work with the MK2 1 series? The video description says clutch judder but then I hear "delay" so .. lol is this to fix clutch judder or clutch delay? Thanks!

Hi George, since buying my 130i 2 weeks ago I just can’t seem to change gear smoothly unless in going to around 3k revs. Anything lower and it’s jerky changes. To be fair I am driving it short distances to work from a cold start but I’m all my years of driving I’ve never found it so difficult to get a smooth gear change at lower revs. Have you had this? Does this delete help with that? I’m looking for more smoother shift at slower speed rather than at high revs thanks for you videos 👍🏻

@@whoknows3076 i have not changed anything and kept driving. I got some clutch slight noise after few months and the noise got worse by simply pressing even slighly the clutch and noise disappears when i release the pedal. The noise becomes light when the car is hot. So it is likely the release bearings damaged. It contains oil and as you drive the oil gets hotter and does the job. My clutch and dmf was brand new and the garage who sold it to me likely hasn't changed the release bearings. I will need to change the whole kit. No point in changing only the bearing due to the hour cost.

What about the extra pressure the clutch slave cylinder seals will have to deal with. This could end up bursting seals not rated for the pressure rise after removal. COULD END UP EXPENCIVE AFTER SEALS BURST AND COVER CLUTCH IN FLUID.(New clutch, new slave cylinder and whatever BMW decide to charge you. The mod in theory is great but all the other parts around the system may not be able to take the extra sudden. pressure rise. Be careful. Would have more negative affects on higher mileage bmw as parts will be old and worn.

A reputable transmission specialist near me is doing it for £400 so it's a no brainer, i'd like to do it myself but the risk of getting it wrong and ruining £400 worth of bearings isn't worth it.
