Not only they don't wanna do it for free, but they don't want to sell it. Instead they insist that the whole cue assembly needs to be replaced and the part is $1100

@lesmiazga I found a local shop in my area that replaced the touch screen for $300. The entire cue assembly does not need to be replaced. Saved myself a few hundred $. No issues

I have a 2015 Cadillac Escalade Luxury model, purchased brand new back in 2014. I've always taken it back to the dealer for maintenance. About a week ago, my CUE stopped working. Frozen! Could not get any response after attempting multiple reset actions. Made an appointment for service at the dealer. I received a written estimate for $1,395.30 (Tax included) for a refurbished system with a one year warranty. Went home and checked out KZbin. Found a technician who would install a brand new unit. He has his own little shop and has been installing CUE systems for eight years and has good reviews. No one has returned with any problems, he says. I then authorized him to install the system. I watched him work with precision. One and one half hours later, he was done. The system worked magnificently! He tells me if there are any problems whatsoever to please bring it back. The warranty is for one year. He then handed me an invoice for a total of $210.00 (Tax included). If you don't have the tools needed for the work or want to take your dash apart, have a specialist do the job.

I started to have few buttons not working on mine so bought replacement. Went through process, removed all protective films and incerted all connectors properly and screen seemed to work but except none of the touch screen functions worked at all. I triple checked and all was fine but no function. Had to re-install my original screen and got some functions working g except for same ones that weren't. So I kept the original, better some functions than no function from the new one.

I may be able to help. In my experience it started with the AC controls not working. It's been like that for about 2 months and just this morning it got to the point where nothing but the edges work exactly like the video. During the 2 months I did notice other things stop responding little by little.

If you use the auto climate control button on the console the ac controls should pop on. I have the same issue but I can still get the ac through the console.

Looks like a lot of screws I got kind of lost when you spit up the video but maybe it's straightforward but not too straightforward for me. I guess the hardest part would be keeping up with what screws go where

GM has always had problems in their electronics. This is nothing new. Faulty gauge clusters, radios, Infotarnished systems, power window motors. Replacement parts at the stealership cost an arm and a leg for another 3-4 years, + crappy warranty, or no warranty, until the part fails again and falls flat on its face…..and the list goes on & on!!!
