Thank you so much for making this. Cadillac should pay you. This is such a common failure for Cadillac's it seems it was a huge engineering oversight for them to not consider low quality parts requiring regular cumbersome maintenance. Thanks Mr. Rocheleau for making it possible for everyone outside the dealerships! I've heard people pay $700-$2000 to get this replaced. THANK YOU!!!

I also got sticker shock on the replacement. This is the second screen replacement for me. The first time under warranty. I’m glad I was able to help someone else. Thank you for the kind words and positive feedback.

I watched many vidieos before I started this project. This was the most defined and clearest instruction and pictures of any I studied. Thank you, it made the step by step project manageable.

Thank You so much Greg! Thanks to your detailed instructions. My removal repair and installation went off without a hitch. What a satisfying sense of an accomplishment when I saw that CUE animation flash on my screen for the first time. YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

Thank you! Fixed my friend's 2016 SRX. Dealer already charged him $300 to "diagnose" before he mentioned it to me (and dealer quoted him another $1500 to fix) Found out it was a common issue on the SRX that the digitizer goes bad. Not sure if the Cue digitizer is worth the extra money, but that's the one I bought. I like they include the two tools, didn't bother to watch their videos or read the instructions, just used your video. Everything is pretty straight forward. I would say have a magnetized #1 phillip screwdriver is helpful. The two screws on each side of the center console trim was a pain in the butt for me, but you seem to have no issue with it, I was using a 7mm socket with a spinner handle, plus an open end wrench and ratchet wrench, end up dropping one screw down between the plastics. Anyways, my friend is happy everything is working. Now I have to work on my 2014 Camry which also has the same issue. Seems like there's a lot of digitizer failures from those years.

I understand the dealership frustration. They wanted to charge me to diagnose before they would tell me if they would warranty this known problem. With a little skill and KZbin you can save yourself some money. I'm glad I was able to help you. Thanks for the feedback.

Worked like a charm! Many thanks. I used to do a lot of car stereos, and in later years worked for NASA. To say this an absolutely ridiculous, self-eating watermelon of a design, is a massive understatement! Classic engineering overthink. Regardless, my girlfriend is ecstatic that her car is fixed for a grand total of $52 dollars and not the $900 the dealership quoted. So you did me a solid, brother. Thanks!

I found using a 4 inch spackle knife made the reinstallation of the trim pieces simple and easy as IMO the trim was probably installed before the seats making it easy to insert the trim @@GregRocheleau

I currently have around 80 000 Kms and this is the second replacement. The first was covered under warranty. Cadillac would not commit to replacing a second time without me paying the dealer to diagnose the problem. I hope this video can help others.
