Thank you very much for the video. I just had it happened to me today and I was so nervous. I pulled over to Oreillys and got some antifreeze coolant 50/50 and it was low and I filled it up. On my way to work I was nervous about something else happening but after viewing your video you reassured me that it's fine. Thank you brother... I have a 2011 BMW 535i.

You should check your coolant once a month specially with bmw. Do it in the morning when engine is cold.

Just happened to me on an F10 550i...checked prior to getting to AutoZone to buy some Pentosin coolant...coolant problem went away on its own. Thanks for your video.

No problem will go away on it's own, it will come back. It has sucked back in some steam in form of liquid, it will blow them out again.

That brand is just fine I just received my oil from Mannheim Germany for my F10 Fuchs schmierstoff GMBH (Pentosin)

That's not a coolant temperature gauge, its an Oil temp gauge. Like most bmw the only way to can see coolant temp is the hidden menu or and idiot light.

Then I checked my temps wid mhd and saw 238... I'm like wtf... That's hot Then I saw it fall and rise and fall... Normal temps. Dropped to 220.

So just getting this right before I start fucking with my vehicle. Pour half coolant in. Fill back up with distilled water. Pour rest of the coolant into the reservoir.

No, that's the right one for WATER. In a German car, WATER comes first, then OIL

Mine just did this today and I opened the cap for the coolant and the idol changed. Then I put it back on and restarted the car. Light went off and the temp has always been below 250. Who knows.

You don’t need a new blower fan. It’s debris like leaves, etc in the blower fan. There are videos on KZbin on how to access the blower fan and get the debris out of there.

@@arkeemj336 no but if yu hearing a roaring noise while blower is on try cleaning out yo blower motor box which should seat on passanger side engine bay infront the windshield Ah note after cleaning change out cabin filter n clean as well n spray Lysol r sum smell good 💯

Great videos I had a question for you to see if you ran into this issue or know about it. I own a 2011 535i twin turbo just like yours, I've been having the fan come on and off on and off, very loud, I have changed the coolant temperature sensor, I have checked the water pump and the thermostat, their operating correctly, I have changed the tensioner, new belt, did oil change put the O-ring, change the oil housing gasket, you name it, I tried to do everything that I could but yet this fan keeps coming on and off on and off, the engine temperature rises to a normal level but never stays at a normal level because the fan kicks on and it cools it down, the car thinks it's overheating but it's not and yet it's drivable, it's not overheating but the fan keeps coming on and off on and off and it never stays at a normal engine temperature level, it always tries to cool itself off. Do you know what's going on?

@@collegemoversusa6075 I had the same thing happen to me. The cooling fan would come on and stay on during my drive. Finally one day my car overheated and I was forced to pull over. I had the diagnostics done on the car at my local BMW and it needed a new water pump. Car runs good now and no cooling fan.

Restoration work they don’t have issues it’s just that you have to maintain them at peak performance. So if a part is still good, but not at peak performance than the car will want you to change it

We have a 2013 535i, bought brand new. At 10K miles, had to replace the water pump. After the warranty expired, it seems that we started getting a lot of problems. The left turn signal light malfunctions periodically, trunk shock springs to open malfunctions causing the trunk to open fast. At 60K miles, had a small oil leak coming from upper gasket (out of warranty! $2000 repair), also transmission is starting to slip, had to pull over a few times to turn car off, then ok again?? 70K miles, engine developed an idle problem, when first start up, engine idles high and low and starts to shake car. 75K miles, clock spring on steering wheel breaks, $1000 repair. this is our fourth bmw but the first of the 5 series, and it seems to me that, after warranty, they all start to fall apart. We also bought at the time a brand new 2000 bmw 323ci convertible and the transmission went out at 6K miles, and then again at 60k miles (out of warranty)! After that car, we bought mercedes and they had major problems too. So, maybe just have bad luck with these high priced model vehicles...Good luck for anyone wanting to buy these cars. They look great and has the power but...

Beamer (Beemer) vs Bimmer So just why is a BMW car called a 'bimmer' not a 'beemer' or 'beamer'? The answer in part lies in knowing some BMW history and what came first. All real BMW enthusiasts know that BMW got a big start on two wheels, what many call the real BMWs. In those days, BMW motorcycles were quite active in racing, and one of their competitors at the track was often the BSA bikes. How coolant is really bad. You create air pockets in your water pump which cause it to fail.

depends what you put in there, if it says 50/50 already mixed, you don't need to, otherwise, mix with distilled water. CVS has it.

Did you ever resolve this? I have the same year and model and have the same issue. Topped it off and the light won’t go out. I recheck it and the reservoir is completely full, so not leaking. Is there a hard reset, or is it likely a sensor or connector issue?
