How to Fix Core Isolation Incompatible Driver Issue | Unable to Turn On Memory Integrity

Ok, so I just ran into this problem due to my super old mad catz mmo 7 mouse drivers that i installed on my new windows 11 pc. So from your explanation, there is no way to fix this other than to dismiss the notification for the windows security, correct? Cause Im prolly going to continue to use the mouse and drivers. would this cause a big security threat?

Hello @onursixx well, the answer is Yes, and NO (depending on your scenario). Yes: Core isolation is a security measure that protects system processes on Windows from malware by keeping them separate from the operating system and its devices. NO: You can use a good antivirus and don't forget that Windows 11 still has other security features like Windows Security and Microsoft Defender Firewall (which is actully stronger then earlier). Adding more to this, there are thousands of older systems which does not run Windows 11, and/or have this privilged Core isolation feature, so, I will not be very anxious for turning it off. On the other hand this feature do affect nagitivly on the system performance. I hope you got you answers, Cheers

I was worried for ten days but after watching this video I successfully turned on memory integrity. Thank you very much. But in core isolation it was showing 12 incompatible drivers and when I was deleting in terminal admin, only the driver with oem name was deleted, the rest was not deleted, yet memory integrity was turned on, thankfully.

I am getting these errors upon logging into windows, but my memory integreity is already on. I want to try to keep it on. It seems like every reboot or so there is another incompatible driver found. Idk if its leftover from 3rd party garbage software or what I'm tempted to just do a clean install cause its been so long I wouldnt even mind reinstalling large games obviously other backups and Etc

Hello @Allrithin Well, if you are able to afford a clean reinstall then don't waste your time on RND, its not worth keeping multiple versions of leftover garbage from all the apps and device drivers, with fresh install you will end up having only the latest versions of all, keeps your system efficient. cheers

I started scrolling from bottom up, actually when you type a command often list is very long and blink cursor or your command prompt goes at end of the list, so to find your driver you need to scroll up.

Hello @mawithaa5387, this "HHT-Tech HHTHid" driver is a Virtual Multi-Touch Drivers file, possibly belongs to any of your input devices, lets take another approach to locate the culprit, try these methods one by one; 1st) get the list of drivers by running this command in command prompt (With Admin): dism /online /get-drivers /format:table From the List note down the Published Name (ex: "oem65.inf") of the driver that is shown as problematic. Then use this pnputil command to delete the driver from the device: pnputil /delete-driver /uninstall /force 2nd) if you did not find or could not delete, then take a chance of removing it manually; Open File Explorer, Go to View >> Show >> File Name Extensions & Hidden Items (enable both of these, to show all the Hidden files and their Extension names) now go to: c:\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository\ and look for any folder name starting with HHT (the company owns this product is named "HHT-Tech" and you could end of finding names like; HHTHid, hhthid.inf etc..) Please note that it would remove the device driver and the next time you use the device, it would not work. (If you are manually deleting, I suggest you to take backup of this folder before deleting it). Best of luck. please share your outcome. Cheers!

Hello @anneptuyay, Universal Serial Bus Controllers include the controllers that have your keyboard and mouse connected to them, so you have to be cautious, even on a laptop, the keyboard and trackpad are connected via USB internally. If you think "universal serial bus controllers" got that driver, then you need to identify the conflicting driver. Remove all the external device which are connected via USB ports and start uninstalling each USB controller that is listed under Universal Serial Bus controllers. Restart the computer, After the computer starts, Windows will automatically scan for hardware changes and reinstall all the USB controllers that you uninstalled. If the problem gone, good, otherwise try uninstalling unused scanners, Bluetooth devices, (like head phones etc..). share your outcome. Best of luck.

Hello @unknownx3601 Remove all the external device which are connected via USB ports and start uninstalling each USB controller that is listed under "Other Devices" and under "Universal Serial Bus controllers". Restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically scan for hardware changes and reinstall all the USB controllers that you uninstalled. If the problem gone, good, otherwise try uninstalling unused scanners, Bluetooth devices, (like head phones etc..). if no luck! then Perform a Clean Boot, sometimes this do fixes memory integrity incompatible drivers issue. Hello @wasimansari9295 I will still suggest try finding new drives form the hardware vendors, but if no luck! then Perform a Clean Boot, Sometimes this do fixes memory integrity incompatible drivers issue. To perform a Clean Boot, follow these steps (procedure may differ a bit depending on Windows ver.); Step 1: Type Win + R to open Run, input msconfig and click OK. Step 2: Navigate to General, choose Selective Startup, and only check Load system services. Step 3: Under Services, check Hide all Microsoft services and tap on Disable all. Step 4: Apply the changes. Then, restart the PC and re-enable memory integrity. It should turn on without any hurdles. restart and check hopefully it will work, keep me posted. cheers

Hello @Linkdiske, this "optousb.sys" looks like a "USB Virtual Serial Port Driver" file, possibly belongs to any of your input (removeable) devices, lets take another approach to locate the culprit, try these methods one by one; 1st method) Right Click on "Start Button >> Select "Device Manager" Go to "View" Menu and select "Show Hidden Devices" look for anything related to "OPTO" names, in the "Other Devices" and/or in the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" anything familiar, uninstall it, (even if you removed any working device, Windows will reinstall this driver on the next reboot) if you are successful, good, other wise continue to the second method; 2nd method) get the list of drivers by running this command in command prompt (With Admin): dism /online /get-drivers /format:table From the List note down the Published Name (ex: "oem65.inf") of the driver that you know is problematic (anything related to "OPTO"). Then use this pnputil command to delete the driver from the device: pnputil /delete-driver /uninstall /force I hope this information helps. Best of luck!
