How to Fix Dark Souls 3 Mod Engine (after update 1.15)

Like I understand the whole don't cheat while playing multiplayer, but that doesn't mean the offline players have to suffer too

@@Nin_the_Shinobi Yeah, they should've realized they were always going to lose to hackers in general as long as they kept to the same/slightly modified game engine, so they should've just embraced it a little more and focused all the hacking/modding attention onto multiplayer.

Wasn't the hacking being done pretty severe? Like being able to send whatever data/files to another player that the hacker wanted? In that case they really had to make an update like this, even though it sucks. I know about the "picking up a hackers dropped item"-hacks, but they didn't pull the servers offline and do the update because of that, from what I understand.

@@oonmm ....nothing about the "improvements" done to Dark Souls 1 for the "remaster" or removing the Prepare to Die edition from Steam and elsewhere had any effect on the hacking going on with the FromSoft servers. That was done purely to make so people had to buy the "remaster" version if they wanted to play DS1. Taking down the multiplayer servers was the only real change. Even the Easy Anti-Cheat they added last minute to Elden Ring doesn't do much and is very easy to disable.

The mod engine was developed a while ago. I think the developer of mod engine didn't expect a change in the game in 2022.

I've done this, but the game won't let me launch as it says there's an update available. I've turned off auto updates and tried launching the game in steam's offline mode, but it just says 'download available' so I don't know what to do. :/ can anyone help?

If anyone here is wondering like me,wich new cheat table to use (offline only) after downpatching is to use version 1.1.8 reverse souls you will get a crash on item gib using any other one and we will have to revert back to item swapping until they can make one with the downpatch

For some reason when I download the file it’s not showing up as “DarkSoulsIII.exe”, it’s just showing up as “DarkSoulsIII”, and renaming it doesn’t seem to do anything.

i do not understand how everyone seems to be able to just play the game on this older patch .exe, because no matterr what i do, steam will always trry to update the game file when i try to launch the game by clicking on the new exe. trying in offline mode makes steam just deny me from opening the the game at all, and it will only launch once it's patched in online mode. what are people doing to stop steam from interrupting?

Right click the game on steam, click on properties then updates. In the first dropdown, click Always keep this game updated (if you have the option to update when you launch the game selected).This might fix the problem for you?

I'm not sure why you're having such problems, I tried it myself and it worked for me and many other people.. maybe there's something wrong other than the 1.16 thing
