Good job, you don't need to remove the motor to that service. Also you forgot to check/service the metal axle at the end of the brush roll. A lot of jambs happen there.

Thank you! I had just replaced the battery on my V6Flexi when the brushbar started behaving just like this. I was looking around for a new motorhead as my usual cleaning didn't fix the problem. Ridiculous price if you can find one as it looks like this model might be on the way out. Anyway, watched your video and decided to give it a go as it was next to useless as it was. Great vid, fixed mine! Small warning, WD-40 is *not* a lubricant, do not use it here! Rather it is a solvent, meaning it will dissolve any dirt, but will also dissolve the existing lubricant!

Thanks. For me after pulling out the hairs, the spindle still wouldn’t turn freely until I used WD40. Now it spins like crazy. What would you suggest I use to lubricate it once the WD40 has dried?
@TobyMole5 ай бұрын
@@graydrever1927 I'm guessing that during manufacture they use some sort of dry lubricant. I'm not sure what would be a good replacement. As a guess, perhaps a small amount of bicycle chain lube might be suitable (not chain *oil*, that's too thin and messy).

They’re quite reliable aren’t they! They’re approaching 10 years old now, and apart from the battery they just keep on working like new with good motors! If they have the direct drive heads those last way longer than the flat DC59/V6 Animal floortools
@max_dottie Жыл бұрын
Yes the v6 we had must be about 7 or 8 years old, haven’t had to replace the battery on it yet but I think it’s approaching that time since it lasts a couple of seconds in max mode. It’s had new filters , and the cyclone has been taken apart and cleaned. But it still works brilliant like day 1
