Zac's big burgers, sorry for the late reply, I didn't see your message before. To make the background white, I just used my light (YONGNUO YN-216 5000K light) and shined it against the wall behind me. I made it bright enough so that the color looks white. Zac P, Congrats on your channel, it's growing fast! I went over to support your channel a few minutes ago. The Lonely Minecrafter; Congrats on your new channel! Thank you for posting this.... My Dyson V6 SV03 is from 2016 (6 years old) and it was still going relatively strong with zero problems till the brush stopped spinning a few days ago. At home, there are three cats and three females with long long hair, too! This Dyson is a lifesaver for me and I use the thing multiple times per day. I thought there was no hope and that all the hair finally killed it, but I followed the steps in your video with alcohol and a q-tip, and voila! The brush is spinning again. Thank you sooo much! Paul Walker, mine was the same as you described with the brief stop/start etc. Cleaning the connection didn't work (but great tip! I never knew about those), but I found hair twisted behind the spindle on the other side of the brush that was stopping it from turning. You have to pretty much take apart the head and unscrew the spindle (screw is in the centre of the spindle column) to get the hair out. This video shows how to do it (at the end). It worked for mine, good as new. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHbNlWasiKZ0eKs

Cleaning the connectors worked perfectly! Have been cleaning out all the hair every time for months but just couldn't figure out why it kept stopping and starting. Thanks!

Thanks so much! Terrific and clear video. I have two Dysons and they both stopped working. I was about to head to Bed Bath and Beyond to buy a new one but found your video. Cleaned the contacts and now both work!

It worked! Thank you! This started happening months where the head would spin for 1 second then stop. So I bought a new brush. Of course the new brush didn't change anything. I was just about to but a whole new motor head, then I found your video. Thank you so much 🙌🏻

Hi David. Followed your instructions but unfortunately it didn't work. So we dismantled the whole head and cleaned it all - except he main screw that turns the brushes. Couldn't get the screw out that holds it! But thank you for the video and I'm so glad it helped so many people

Thank you! My problem is sporadic, but I hope it worked! I called Dyson, and the person told me to clean the filter or I might need a new motor, and I knew that didn't sound right! It wasn't really dirty, but I still cleaned out some dust. It's nice to see where the connectors are and if it happens again, I'll know where to look!
@UTECHPIA3 жыл бұрын
Hi Donna G! Thanks for leaving such a nice comment! If it's sporadic, it might be due to something physically preventing the motor rotation as well. I hope you fix your Dyson and enjoy many more years with your Dyson! If you have any questions, feel free to let me know. ok - your video was informative - and I did need to clean the contacts but it did not fix my problem. I needed to take a tweezers and pull all the hairs wrapped around the piece in the powerhead nozzle. After I cleaned the contacts and all the hair - wah-la it worked. Thanks for the video!

Thank you! It wasn't dust on the connectors in my case, but the dust bin wasn't on all the way so the connectors weren't making a solid connection. Taking it apart and putting it back together firmly fixed it!
