If E2 isn’t to blame, why do the same symptoms not occur with compounds that don’t aromatise? And why do these symptoms disappear when you use a low dose of an AI with testosterone? Blocking E2 is bad, agreed. But so is having high E2. There is a middle ground There are hundreds of personal logs to back this up, as well as my own personal experience

I have been on TRT for about 2 years. I retained water in my waist and ankles and feet since being on TRT. My docs started me without anastrozole .I tried more injections, I changed my diet and began rigorous exercising, with little effect. Only after taking anastrozole did the water retention come down.

Thank you Brother for opening my eyes. I have been on TRT for 3 years. In addition I've been taking HCG with a estrogen blocker. I wasn't feeling myself optimised on The TRT. After watching your video about getting off of estrogen blockers and HCG, I decided to stop taking those two medications and only take my TRT. WOW ! What a difference. Great video. I have been on trt for 4 months and developed a small lump on my left side after a month and a half. I did just what you said, I took anastrozole and then dim and it didn't really help. my levels came back at 1283 test 250 free test and 88 estradiol. This is at .4 twice a week. I changed to .1 daily and been doing that for a month. Still got the lump but it hasnt gotten bigger and some days it's not sensitive at all, some days it is. I am an active athlete and competitor with a rigorous training schedule and my diet is pretty clean. I'm hoping this lump goes away continuing my daily .1 regimen with no AI's or DIM

Hey guys! I think there is something important to note. A good portion of guys have a gene mutation called COMT, such as myself. When you have this mutation, your body cannot clear out excess estrogen, adreneline and dopamine like everyone else. So I understand saying in general we don't need aromatase inhibitors but for some guys that's actually not true. For guys with COMT it can be important. When my estrogen goes high I actually cannot get it to stop going higher and higher without help, and when that happens I get really moody, anxious, and get swelling and put on even more weight regardless of my testosterone levels. Look into COMT

If you are having a hard time clearing out estrogen try taking 100mg of dim a day it will help your liver metabolize estrogen. But from what I've read you should keep the dose of dim low bc high doses can block androgen activity.

I've been on trt for 16 years . I've tried every protocol out there once a week ,twice a week, e.o.d, e.d every permutation of a.i to test ratio imaginable. Currently I'm taking 70mg twice a week with 0.12.5 mg of a.i. at time of injection. I've been having memory problem which I suspect are a side effect of the a.i. even at this microdose. When I eliminate a.i and try e.d protocol as you've suggested or any other that doesn't include a.i I get hot flashes and I get horrible bright red facial flushing. If not the direct result of e2 then by some cascade of hormones. Do you have any possible insight with this? Cognitive decline vs debilitating hot flashes and wino face , this is my conundrum. Any insight would be greatly appreciated 🙏

I’ve had gyno and the surgery and it was rough. I’m considering trt but Im not sure I’d be willing to wait and see if itchy nipples goes away since I’ve had lumps and fat. I respect your opinion but in my opinion prone people can be playing with fire.Most trt dr don’t prescribe nolvadex and it has its own drawbacks like AI does. Once that lumps there it will not go away. (At least mine didn’t) I’ve tried nolvadex for extended period of time and other gyno reduction protocols to no avail. Propecia would even flare it up.

@@spoolpan I have since went back to weekly shots. My levels were perfect at every day shots BUT I wasn’t feeling as good as when I started trt. I after weekly shots I got blood work on a trough day (7 days since last shot). My levels were 500 which seems normal and even on the lower side of normal (compared to 800). But I think that surge of testosterone builds you up better than a consistent lower number. Some testosterone doctor on KZbin said he’s had patients like me obsessing over perfect “natural” levels doing daily shots and even every other day shots, but most men return to weekly shots because they feel better, and it’s less to worry about. I may end up doing every 5 days but for now I’m cool with 7 day weekly injections again. I’m always experimenting with this so check back with me in a couple of months and I may be doing something different. 😂 What is your regime?

When I was on a larger dose I did have some physical issues. This was on 2 injections/week. The clinic recommended I take DIM to reduce my symptoms and it worked very well. I'm now on a lower dose which has my T right in the middle of the reference range. I have trouble injecting once per week, so twice per week is just impractical.

I have been on trt for 13 months. My doctor didn't like that I did research. All he wanted to do was treat numbers and maintain that he was the doctor (and I use that term loosely) and I was not. I ditched him 6 weeks ago, joined a clinic that went over my labs extensively, and they are treating my symptoms - finally! I am on 200mg testosterone cypionate (100mg twice a week), .25 mg of anastrozole twice a week, and 25mg of enclomiphene twice a week. I have lost 17 pounds, my bp is at 120s over 70s, workouts are crazy good, and it put me on the train to Bonersville....like put-it-through-drywall quality. This is the best I have felt in a couple decades. I am turning 53 next week.

Hello. May I ask what symptoms you were experiencing? I’m dealing with low libido , drive constant fatigue you name it. No sex is the worst 😢. Everything was solid at the beginning of my treatment I was on 200mg a week and after the second month it all came crashing down. I began to do research and tell the doctor I believe I was experience way to high of E2 but he kept brushing me off telling me I was crazy. My e2 levels after being on an extremely low dosage even came back at 84. I’m talking 80mg of test a week and still that high. Definitely looking for a new doctor. Thank you
@scooodlescorn4070
@scooodlescorn4070 10 ай бұрын
@VictorBernal-on8fv My E2 was at 76. I started taking Anastrozole (aromatase inhibitor) to lower my Estradiol. I was taking too high of a dose (self administration) and drove my Estradiol down to 7. Now, that is way low.....BUT, I felt a helluva lot better at 7 than 76! I joined Royal Medical Center and they prescribed 200mg testosterone cypionate/week (2 injections of 100 mg), a lower dose of Anastrozole, AND Enclomiphene. I am getting labs again at the end of this month, but I can tell you my numbers will make more sense, because I feel MUCH better. With an E2 of 76, no aromatase inhibitor, and no Enclomiphene I had NO libido, erectile issues, felt drained, my workouts sucked, and had waves of depression. My testosterone was around 1000. My testosterone is still around 1000, if I had to guess (based on past regimen vs current regimen) my E2 is probably in the 20-30 range. I feel completely different. Part of that is the addition of Enclomiphene (which has been replacing Clomid and Gonadorelin in a lot of clinics). It restores your testicular size, therefore increasing sperm and quality (as I understand). But, it also increased my libido. You literally feel it in your balls. And, this may sound funny, but if you haven't had erections for a while, you may want to get a penis pump. Yes, a penis pump. As I've researched, the penis builds up scar tissue because without erections, the penis doesn't really get circulation. Pumps force blood in and rejuvenates the blood vessels (lack of a better term, I guess). It restores the capacity of your penis, which gets resuced with age. Anyways....I certainly am not an expert, and some of my info may be technically flawed, but all that I have stated is what works for me. And, it works a lot better than the previous regimen set by my ex-doctor. My workouts are night and day different too. I would also look into The Phoenix (soundwave therapy device). It's not cheap, but I think it's worth it. I just don't want my hormones balanced, I want to be functioning optimally. Feel Good. Look Good. F*** Good. One last thing....I know a lot of people demonize aromatase inhibitors (Arimidex/Anastrozole) but, from my experience, having a lower E2 made me feel WAY better than a high E2. There are so many environmental estrogens out there. They are near impossible to avoid. There is a doctor I follow. He is a firm believer in Estradiol control. I will come back with his name. Again...this is what works for me. Never stop researching. Best of luck, brother!

Thanks very much for this channel. I started TRT October 2021 at 50mg week via an insurance endocrinologist. He had me on that dose for two months. He wasn't going to start TRT at all due to my 350 test level at 8am despite having every single low T symptom and offered me viagra. I was 40 years old and lifted the days a week, are healthy, no alcohol, etc. I had to beg the guy. There's a lot of other things that made me realize he doesn't know what he's doing. So now I just use him to write the script and use you guys and other online resources for actual protocol advice. Eight months in at 120mg/week split in two doses and my test level is 1139 and E2 at 61. I have bad back acne and my joints are killing me, though I did get a lot stronger in the gym. I'll maybe try three shots per week and see how that goes. I probably need to eat more veggies as well. Thanks again.

Great info. Just started TRT 3 weeks ago and will be 55 in another couple of weeks. I have not been feeling 'right' for a very long time and the doctors always say I am one of the fittest patience they have so its just an age thing and not to dwell on it. Just under 6 feet tall (used to be a bit over 6 feet tall once upon a time) , 205 lbs with 15% BF. Had to go to urologist for other age related check ups, and he decided to get my testosterone levels checked. Low and behold, my total came in at 156 ng/dl, and free at 2.6 pg/ml (range 7.2 - 24 pg/ml). I did not get estrogen(estradiol) levels tested, but I suspect regardless of the result, the ratio to testosterone will be way off. I also suspect that this has been a lifetime issue, as I have always had a lot of breast fatty tissue that runs from my arm pits along the bottom of my breast. From 12-25 years old I was told not to worry about it as it was 'baby' fat and it would go away. It did not. So I just had to make sure over the decades that my pec muscles were big enough to make sure my nipples were pointed to the ground and be happy with that. Curious to see if raising my testosterone levels will reduce the breast fatty tissue. Time will tell. At some point may just have it surgically removed.

It doesn't work, at least not with raising testosterone. There is some studies that show it raises DHEA levels in vivo. Which could positively effect energy and libido. But it depends on the individual. Just guessing here, but it actually might have a better effect on women than men. Because women's androgens are already lower in the first place, so a rise, even slightly, would likely have noticeable effects on energy and libido.

Doesn’t Clomid mess with estrogen by itself? So not only were you on a large dose of test but also clomid so you were probably just aromatizing too much into estrogen. Either take aromasin/arimidex or split injections into smaller every day or every other day shots, the smaller dosage you inject each day the less aromatization you get.

@@2BaSedP0l0Swagq His symptoms were not from "high estrogen." It was from his estrogen being unstable and making shifts. I know exactly what he is talking about because I had those same symptoms, and mine happened while my estrogen was 26. 26 estradiol should leave you feeling amazing right? No, not necessarily when you are recovering from crashed estrogen after taking aromatase inhibitors, because at that point my estrogen is fluctuating and trying to stabilize. These symptoms people have come from estrogen fluctuating, not being too high. It happens to women in menopause, and in menopause their estrogen is DROPPING. He doesn't need any of that aromatase inhibitor garbage. This just interferes with his body putting his estrogen where it needs to be in regards to his testosterone. What he needs is more STABLE estrogen, which he can attain simply by taking a much lower dose than 250mg and injecting smaller doses more frequently. For example, 160mg a week and injecting 40mg every other day. From there it is simply a waiting game to let his body stabilize. It can take a while but it's worth the wait.

It was pretty intense. That would happen about 3 times a month. I increased my T by .25ml every other week. The visual disturbances increased also. I started having them 2 times a week. I stopped the TRT and the visual disturbances have stopped. I was told that it could be from my estrogen spiking. I did some research and it seems that mostly women suffer with ocular migraines and visual disturbances. So could it be caused by estrogen spiking? Seems to make sense to me that it could be the reason.

High E2 "symptoms", in my experience and on TRT "doses" are a body that is in a disease state and chronically ill. For me (and likely some of you), it is basically a mast cell disorder, comprised liver/gallbladder. Testosterone to estrogen ratio of around 20 to 1 is very important, High TT requires high e2. When my TT is 1200, and my E2 is 34, I feel like shit I get ALL the low e2 symptoms such as lowered sex drive, constipation, robotic emotions, depression, etc. I've had E2 as low as 7 and 14 -- it feels like DEATH. E2 should be 5% of TT. Look at the studies. If your body.cannot handle that level of e2, you need to fix your body and/or lower your TT. Do your own research you'll see the same things. E2 is not the enemy, it is brain and cardiovascular protective in the right ratios. If you can't handle high e2, like I said, check into pathologies in your body.

There are no high e2 symptoms? Hm... You know, i think a lot of this misconceptions about high e2 issues come from the "cycling" world, where people go on and off testosterone rather than people who just stay on (trt). As far as i know, estrogen is metabolized slower than testosterone, so when injections are stopped, test levels drop much faster and there is a shift towards more estrogenic environment. Its important to know that androgens antagonize effects of estrogen at the RNA level, that is why gyno is possible post cycle even with normal e2 levels, because androgen levels are very low! Hence e2 symptoms can be experienc3d, because androgenic activity is severely diminished. On trt where one constantly injects androgens these problems should be much lower if any, since there is a constant supply of androgens and no period of estrogen dominance due to non existent androgens is experienced. But trt is not supposed to be performance enhancement. If one experiences e2 symptoms, perhaps lowering the dose is the natural thing to do, since obviously its too much for you and you are having side effects. I agree that no AI should be taken on legit trt.

Danny, you rant on about these symptoms not being high Estrogen symptoms, but in several places your contradict yourself. At 7:04 you say an AI will limit symptom fluctuations because it will limit the Estrogen. At 14:25 you talk about taking a SERM which will block the hormones, but it's not Estrogen related? What other hormones do SEstrogenRMs block? Repeatedly through out the video you throw around the term hormones, which hormones are you referring to? I don't refute the benefits of having Estrogen in your system, but these types of contradictory videos and statements diminish the credibility of this channel. The fixes for high estrogen symptoms in this video can be summarized by the following: Try waiting it out and/or micro-dosing.
@TheDannyBossaPodcast
@TheDannyBossaPodcast 4 жыл бұрын
It really is difficult to explain these things sometimes and I'm not purposely trying to contradict myself. The AI will minimize these fluctuations at times but at what cost? Why not simply do more frequent injections and do away with the AI altogether? Guys doing more frequent wind up with MORE E2 than the guys taking an AI to accomplish this yet it resolves their issues. So how can that be? The AI appears to be doing some other things other than just blocking aromatase. The SERM attaches to the breast receptor which will prevent anything else from attaching so, yes, it can block the action of other hormones as well. Sometimes I just have things clear in my head but it just comes out wrong.. Apologies. This youtube stuff is still new to me and a work in progress.
@TheDannyBossaPodcast
@TheDannyBossaPodcast 4 жыл бұрын
Reply from Dr Jordan Grant: The gyno issue is one of androgen to estrogen action in breast tissue. SOME men do have likely either MORE aromatase in that glandular tissue, OR they have some estrogen receptor issue going on. What i've seen is that getting the androgen load UP, will offset this. This is not most men. and there are men where estrogen isn't the issue at all, yet a SERM still works (but AI doesn't). It's intriguing. as far as symptom resolution with AI, I think half the time it is placebo. I never hear of these complaints from men when I start them on TRT. I hear "hey, i gained a few pounds of water", or "my BP spiked", etc, but I never TELL them about "estrogen" or anything called "high estrogen side effects". I simply state that things are in flux for a couple of months and to be patient. They are, and it works. These clinics who, right off the BAT, offer AI's, will also TELL PEOPLE about "high e2 sides", and therefore these guys EXPECT to have them. Then when they feel "Weird", they see a "high e2" on blood work, and freak out. I see the "Estrogen" related gyno no different than I see breast cancer. BOTH are tumors - one benign, one malignant. They have hormonal component, since that tissue is HORMONAL. of course when pathology exists, then blocking a hormone there will "regress" things a bit. This is, of course, at the expense of systemic health. SERMs less dangerous than AI's, but still an issue. Why is it that SERM's can often be used for a "short period", then the gyno doesn't come back once they're stopped? If it's truly "estrogen" only?
@wesnewman

@@wesnewman it isn't. It's a fluctuation of all hormones. Your testosterone levels rise dramatically, estrogen, DHT, IGF-1, etc etc... Everything gets altered drastically. So if estrogen was the culprit how wouie that be possible? It's not the estrogen.

@smaug.the.stupendous
@smaug.the.stupendous 3 жыл бұрын
You should inject those twice a week, not twice a month. So for you should be 62.5mg per injection. You will need to round that number to a more convenient number. If your T is 300mg/ml. Then you should inject 0.2ml (60mg) twice weekly.

Your videos are really good. Always happy to get evidence based explanations. But pls work on the sound and sometimes video quality! And sometimes you guys are talking quite much about the theory but not connecting it to "what does it mean now in practice". Luckily THIS video is better. You guys might have already explained but I might need this in dummy terms. If breast growing in men is perse not an estrogen problem but a "hormon problem" then where exactly is is coming from? Swings in hormons...but what exactly? What about those men who carry more bodyfat and its said they are more likely to get side effects from testo only (because of aromatization...) ? So if I understand it right I could even add quite a lot of testosterone under the condition I would increase it slowly to that there are no fluctuations? I guess I need to read a lot more to understand it better. thanks anyway so far for your recommendations

Make sure you eat very clean and don’t drink. Your liver is responsible for metabolizing estrogen into its metabolites, if it is impaired then your e2 hangs around and attaches to your chest glands and can even introduce anxiety

There is more to high estradial than water retention and gynoclumsia, there's also a lot of Mental side effects. Anxiety, depression not sleeping good. All those play rule 2, but everyone's only worried about the water. Retention and gynecoasti maybe make a video about high E2 on testosterone. And maybe lowering the dose or something other than taken an A. I. People get mad. Cause they just want some help with some of their issues. And you guys only argue about what you think's wrong or right? Instead of helping people, what doctors are supposed to do.
