How to Fix Leaking Water Pump on Suzuki - Most common oil leak on Suzuki GSXR 600 k6

So my bike goes up to 120 celsius, same model, could this be the fix for the temperatures? Engine seems fine..

You could have another issue, mine got really hot but added a new rad cap and that sorted it, I had coolant going out of over flow, I did a you tube short of it. This was to fix the leak I had that's all, the rad cap might help you. If you can't find it ping me and will link it

So, how did you pull the water pump out? I'm having the same issue, I cant get the pump out!

@steven1802 once I had removed the bolts I just had to put a lot or pressure and rocked it back and forth, it's stiff but it will come out

Nvm I was able to get it off. It's weird just requires some wiggling and maneuvering up and down until it comes loose. I also saw someone take the two screws off of the face of the water pump and remove it that way. I went for a test ride and I didnt tighten the water pump hose enough causing it to pop off and my bike was running at 285 degrees f. Smh

Great, glad it was useful, its one of the most common and not the cheapest but relatively easy to fix 🙌

@renitententity2086 well I did the o ring today and all is well... ITS FIXED!!! Super easy and quick fix... just under 20 dollars for the o ring and then roughly 40 for the stuff for an oil change... thanks again man

​@@renitententity2086I also didn't drain the coolant... I simply pulled the pump out and set it to the side with hoses still attached

I did my oil pan gasket before I did this 😭🤣🤣 lesson learned though
