Lovely video. As you did defo pour some fresh oil into the filter before fitting, worth filling up as most will get absorbed into the filter. This means the bike is running without oil for the shortest possible time. 🔧 Nice tip about the copper grease at the top of the spark plug, thanks. Also that small cap unscrews form the spark plug.

Great walkthough vid sir. Just a question why u keep your kick stand down while the bike is on the stand?
@RotaryandRides29 күн бұрын
@kimchy4692 Thank you for the positive feedback. The answer to your question is I don't need to keep the side stand down. I just forgot to pop the stand back up tbh. The Bike is running so good now since all the work has been carried out 👌

as @SillyGoose13281 has said the top of the iridium plugs that you have will unscrew off leaving you with a thinner threader top like your old plugs

@leeglf just responded back, also thanks for the advice too on this as I haven't sent them back yet so I'll keep them for the next service 👍

The bit on the spark plug you originally had does screw out just to let you know.

@SillyGoose13281 oh thank you, I haven't sent them back yet so I'll keep them as spares. Was my first time doing this job so thanks for the advice 👍

Hey, can you comment on the use of red rubber grease vs silicon grease? What you can and can't use silicon grease on? I've been told silicon is generally better but are there areas that it shouldn't go? Thanks!
@RotaryandRides2 ай бұрын
Hey, I'm no professional and could be wrong here but I think the difference between the two is they both have different temperature melting points which is probably why you shouldn't apply in certain areas because it will cause the product to dry out and crack! I think Red rubber grease protects rubber from cracking and deterioration and Silicone grease protects surfaces from water, rapid aging, and high and low temperatures. I'm always learning myself and I try to research and learn off others too. So far the areas I have applied the red rubber grease on the GSX R has caused no problems.

Hi, awesome video, really helphfull ! I have a 2006 GSXR 600 too and this helped me a lot. I would like to relocate my regulator as yours. I can't find something similar of what I saw in your video here in France. Is that possible for you to share me the specs (mainly dimensions, and holes places) of the metal plate you have to relocate regulator on the side pls ? I can't find it, so I'm gonna charge someone to make it for me.

Thank you for the positive feedback. I just found a relocation bracket on ebay for you, type in this number 395415302002 in the search bar on ebay and it should load up for you 👍

I just changed mine. Took bike off stands to lean, waited and its leaking coolant. What did I do wrong? Did I get a faulty part. All bolts are flush. What i Do see is the part that enters the bike with the big O ring does not go in fully when i look under the bike, is that how its supposed to be??
@RotaryandRidesКүн бұрын
@daekwon9650 hey, the only thing I can think of other than it being a faulty part is the shaft on the water pump has not engaged properly with the mating component inside the engine or there could be grit or something that's prevented it from engaging fully. It's hard to give you an answer without seeing the bike in person, I hope you get this issue sorted
