Really great work my bro!! I lifted pads on that power port when trying to install the usbc mod. Like 3 pads so I’m still trying to figure that one out. The trace runs under the port that is supposed to sit flush to the pcb so in order to put it back the wire I’ll be crushed. Idk lol - I’ll try something soon. Nice vid!! 😊

And yeah. Ive repaired on like that before, trick is to use super thin wire, and put it through the via hole on the other side of the board, and solder it to the via on the other side. That way it doesnt cause a ball of solder to be in the way of the charge port underneath.

thanks a lot! this gave me a lot of hope. i used a soldering iron with a too high temperature for a small PCB, which soldered off a copper ring on my Logitech G305 mouse. i wanted to change the mouse switches/buttons for silent ones. but hey, even if i end up having lost 35€ (~30-35$), at least i learned sth from it ..i guess. well, hopefully this video will prove useful :D

Thank you ! I’m really new at this. I was trying to replace my screen on my GBA SP. I was doing pretty okay but somehow the Q12B pad got pulled by the cable and the pad now is gone. I don’t know how to fix it. A video about this would be really helpful for all of us who are new. Thank you!

0:41 You say you are replacing a ripped solder pad, but it is not at all clear where the ripped pad is. You go straight into scraping/cleaning a pad (a) that is clearly intact. I'm guessing you are trying to connect (a) the pad you are cleaning to (b) the pad right above the C56 marking, and that the ripped pad AND WIRE was in the dark area between (a) and (b). Is that correct? 1:42 whoa you are jumping too fast here. What is the relation between the component you suddenly bring into the picture and the missing pad (which by the way looks like it is really a missing pad AND a wire in between the two other pads)? To me it looks like the component is soldered at C56, and then the wire is added on from (a) no to (b) but to the pin of the component. Yes?
@retrostashrepairs10 ай бұрын
40:00 yes you are correct its hard yo see, my bad I should of zoomed in on the area atleast a couple of seconds. And it is ripped/broken, its the dark area.

Currently attempting to make a circuit board repair ~ replacing a relay solenoid for a "start" button ~ and I'm not sure what I'm looking at here: Started to solder a new 4 pin solenoid onto the board after removing toasted one and 3 of the circuit board holes have normal tiny circular donuts that the pins fit through but the 4th hole does not appear to have that... Instead, the pin is sticking up through a piece of composite matting material and I don't see the usual tiny metal grommet / donut the pin usually would be sticking up through ~ it's just poking through like a strip of fibrous composite stuff that appears to be built into the circuit board. Anyone have any idea what I'm looking at here? Am I just supposed to apply solder onto this mess and hope for the best or what? Why doesn't 4th hole simply have the usual little metal ring that's built into the board? Trying my best not to have to spend $1400 on a new dryer. Thx.
