The small spring on the turbine can be held in place putting a small screwdriver in the middle of the spring and gently pulling it towards the bottom of the turbine and popping the top of the spring into its slot making putting the housing together easier

Can you put the cyclones units when unassembled into a dishwasher to deep clean them?

When fully disassembled they can be washed, I would be careful with a dishwasher though due to the plastic getting discoloured or slightly damaged due to the high heat dishwashers produce

Can you use a air compressor to clean the cyclone as I don't ever take the cyclones apart?

Yes although it's unnecessary, but people still would rather clean their cyclones anyway

Hi, i just bought brand new purple brush for my DC55 from Dyson and successfully replaced it but unfortunately it keeps stopping after i start the vaccum, it spins for maybe 1sec and then stops! Have i missed something? or do i have to replace the complete removable power cleaner head? Thank You.

Hi, firstly is it doing this on other carpets as well? Because on certain carpets the suction of the vacuum can make them stick and jam the brushroll. Secondly if you remove the brushrolls, then if you look at the black cog which the brushes mate with, there's a screw holding them in (inside the hole), if you remove that screw, the black part should pull off, it can be difficult but basicaly there is usually a buildup of hair behind there, repeat this with the other brush's black cog Hope this helps!

@@parwaz7861 Thank you for your quick reply, yes it does that on carpet and wooden floor too but i did disassemble it again and cleaned it inside out but unfortunately it's still the same. But you were correct as there was lot of buildup of hair stuck inside so cleaned it up but no luck. Thanks again.
