Merry Christmas Brian.... Just to let you know this fix is still " Very" Valid in late December 2022. I'm using an 11900K with a 3090 , 120Hz 4K Geforce OLED Monitor and a lot of gen 4 storage and ASUS maximus mobo running @4K HDR. Complete fresh install of windows 11 and have gained 7-9 frames in all areas of Microsoft Flight Sim following the regedit you prescribed , ( all my drivers were already the latest)....Cheers !

I was up late last night troubleshooting, as it turns out my fps drop happens then if i unplug my power brick and put it back in, the fps goes right back up to normal (omen 15 laptop, i7 10750h and rtx2080 super). Worth a try! Ive ordered a new power brick, hopefully this sorts the issue, ill let you know! Thanks

I'm lucky. Many of my games that struggled to reach or maintain 60fps are now playing nicely and consistently at 60fps and all I did was upgrade to Windows 11. I haven't tweaked anything.

@@logitechz3 Windows 11 is definitely day one more optimized than Windows 10. GTA5, Fallout 4, The Witcher 3 as examples. I had to run them at 1600x900 to get at or near 60fps. I have an i9 processor and 1080ti GPU and 16 GB of ram. Without doing anything different other than upgrading I can now run them all at my monitor's native 4K resolution and they're all maintaining 60 frames per second or more.

@@logitechz3 well yeah *technically* it should be about the same performance as on windows 10, but I myself am seeing some fps improvements as well. It's not huge but it's definitely there. I think moving on from now the gap will only get bigger as windows 11 keeps being optimized.

Nice Video however it did not fix my issue. I found the issue on my end and turned off the option for g-sync overall in the Nvidia Control Panel and it solved the fps issue all together. Now i can multitask again without any fps dropping from 144hz to 10-20 while browsing in the back ground off the game. I Have a i7-13700F with a 4070ti which is pretty high end generation.

@Britec09 I was getting fps drops in only 4 months old 3060ti which used to give 250-500fps in valorant . I thought it was due to their non-ending updates and patches. I tried everything from updating gpu, motherboard drivers, tested my gpu performance, check it by diagnostic tool as u tested on other video and found gpu was ok.. Then i searched for this video as 2nd thought came to mind, that may be this guy had made video regarding this and luckily i found this. I don't know clearly whether it's microsoft win 11 update was faulty or some other thing, but i think it's windows that's messing with gpu's performance.. so how can we trust such updates, who give u such troubles instead of really doing something equivalent to updating. Anyway, 3060 ti is back on 400fps mark from 120fps and it's all thnxx to your efforts🙏

I was skeptical but this 100% worked. I have a pretty good gaming laptop that is really hit or miss. Sometimes it gets great fps and in other games got unplayabley low fps. Couldn't explain why. Could run warzone at 100fps but could run fallout 3 above 5fps. This fixed it. Thank you very much

@@TheACTIONZ change your maximum processor state to 90ish%, use a cooling pad if you haven't use it, set fan speed to the fastest and make sure to keep your laptop plugged in when gaming. If its still does the same thing maybe your graphics card is damaged.

I was not able to enjoyably play ATS or ETS2 on my native screen resolution of 1440 p on a gtx 1070 on win 10. I checked all the reg. settings and set them according to Britec, and I feel it definitely works on win 10. The 2 games I mentioned are drive sim games, and previously was getting big FPS drops in cities. They appear to be gone.

So I did the registry thing and it fixed everything. I'm running 5k resolution on a 49" super-ultrawide. If Windows was recording my screen it probably did so in 5k resolution causing my PC to 1. Heat up like crazy 2. Spin my industrial fans on max causing really loud noise 3. Caused all of my games to stutter and be practicaly unplayable.
