I sat on this video for several months. After I rewatched Naruto, I started making a list, but didn't finish it until recently out of sheer boredom. Started off making this video not really feeling it, but I finally got into it towards the end and I'm proud of the two videos I've made.

@Oswald Robinson you’re saying it like every author plans out their respective series when in reality 90% of mangaka write on the spot. Escalation is completely normal in shounen especially in weekly shounen jump where fans are expecting the series to be grander. To be honest from og to the end the only bit more of escalation it got was six paths sage mode. Kurama and the other bijuu were already around spitting out tailed beast bombs and shit. It was completely expected, but naruto wasn’t about that (narratively). It’s about Narutos journey

Don't know if it was intentional but I still find it funny that when Kishimoto admitted he loved the Disney movie Frozen, the anime suddenly released an episode featuring Hinata and Hanabi and showed them growing apart because Hinata kept dodging Hanabi's attempts to play with her because their dad kept locking Hinata inside a room, to train while Hanabi is left wondering why she wasn't allowed to play with Hinata anymore. This honestly was interesting and could have been used to help develop both Hinata and Hanabi as characters and it would've made the Last Naruto the Movie all the more juicier and satisfying to watch because it gives Hinata something to do that doesn't involve around Naruto. Her juggling her responsibilities as the Hyuuga heir AND having to be a loving older sister to Hanabi sounds really interesting. I don't care if it seemed like a copy of Elsa and Anna's relationship, I would've been down to see some sisterly bonding between Hinata and Hanabi, haha

Sisterly bonding AND seeing Hinata grow into a strong woman on her own I mean. This makes sense because she's the love interest, and it will make her relationship with Naruto all the more adorable because imagine Hinata slowly getting more confident as the series progresses and Naruto starts to notice her because of it? Heck, you could even tie into the family issues she had, her handling the Hyuuga family drama on her own and having Naruto show her love and support while doing it every once in while is a HUGE missed opportunity in my book. It still makes sense because Kishimoto tried to make the Hyuuga relevant by the end of the series anyway and what better way to make them relevant than by having the love interest actually form a solid character on her own and settling the drama within her clan?

And what I mean by this is because Naruto kept going on and on about how he was going to try and change the Hyuuga Clan's ways in his fight with Neji, so it makes sense that he would try and help Hinata in trying to get the Hyuuga to nut up. Hinata should still handle most of the heavy lifting in this case though because the Hyuuga should be her business, Naruto should just support her like she does for him whenever he's handling his own issues. Seriously, the more I talk about this, the more I realised why NaruHina didn't feel as satisfying as it should have, lmao

I think Naruto should have embraced it’s politics more. Not how we see politics, but the politics of the Naruto world. It’s already about espionage, war, the main characters are basically child soldiers, the whole conflict between Madara and Hashirama (also Naruto and Sasuke at the end) is about their different outlooks as to how the ninja world should be anyway.

In this canon the only true revival is Madara. Considering Orochimaru is the leading expert on the matter and did the closest thing we have seen so far, it would make sense to me if he were the one to revive Madara. Now, why would he do that? Well, Orochimaru's major motivation since the start of Naruto is to get himself a powerful vessel. I propose he developed a more complete version of his reanimation jutsu but in his current state he cannot pull it off except by funneling chakra into it over a long time. Kabuto betrays him (or acts like it), the Akatsuki raid his compound, steal a partially animated Madara and finish the deal. Madara being Madara breaks their control and does his thing. You don't know how to defeat him? Have a tiny white snake forming out of Madara's own body once he hits his strongest form, only visible in glances when you see his back, unaffected by his chakra, slowly crawling up his body thought the fight and biting him in the neck. He throws back his head, eyes flash to snake pupils for a moment, Naruto & co get the opening they were waiting for and kill him.

I got a CRAZY but interesting change. "Make Naruto move on from being Hokage." For the longest, Naruto stated how he wanted the position to be respected. After gaining that respect after becoming the village hero from beating Nagato, he sees that he doesn't need that role BUT after seeing the state of affairs, that he does take an interest in politics to ensure the ninja world's tragedies don't repeat themselves. Instead, he requests Shikamaru to be Hokage. It fits a lot between Shikamaru being Naruto's closest friend still in the village and mutual understanding of carrying on legacies, which also ties with Shikamaru's character with supporting the "king" (that and how his crazy potential for greatness with his intelligence only dulled by his laziness being laid out early on. You could also use that to help Naruto with his distrust of villagers outside of his friends that you said in the video.) You could even make Shikamaru the mediator between Naruto and Sasuke making peace with each other. If Naruto and Sasuke are opposite extremes, Shikamaru is that in-between that sees both sides, knowing love, revenge, and loss of both teacher and family (yeah, have Shikaku still get killed in the war). I think Sasuke seeing the Naruto see the bigger picture in entrusting that role to Shikamaru and working with him to ensure that the faulty rules and decisions that made their lives living hells aren't repeated would open his eyes more and see where real REVOLUTION is. Together, Naruto and Sasuke become the right and left hand of Shikamaru after Kakashi's term of Hokage is done, with Shikamaru being Kakashi's advisor to prep him for when its his time, while Naruto and Sasuke actually learn Leaf and ninja world politics, even traveling together to different lands to better understand the cultures and politics so they can make the best decisions to aid Shikamaru when he's Hokage. As extra icing on the cake, do a time skip where Naruto, Sasuke, and Shikamaru are the VILLAGE ELDERS after (I guess) Konohamaru becomes Hokage, making better decisions in that position than the elders did when they were all young. How bout that?

Kabuto really works thematically to challenge the idea of hard work being able to overcome what you're born with. He overcomes the barrier of one's innate qualities by putting his life on the line to steal the powers of others and form his sense of self around this. He's honestly the ideological alternative to Rock Lee in the story, and the story shits on Lee and proves Neji right at every stage.

Let me give you a line of thought: He has Uzumaki lineage boosting his Natural chakra (both Kushina and Minato have rivers of chakra), Kurama, only one to learn sage mode (why couldn't the others atleast learn the imperfect stage?), only masters rasengans and clones, Six paths chosen power later on the series (a more busted sage mode that others can't get even if they had mastered the previous stage), reincarnation (there were others before, but they surely haven't done anything to balance this side of the story by showing how others could match up him even if he were a reincarnation).

It would've been cool read an AU fanfic where Naruto gains the Curse Mark and goes rogue instead of Sasuke,but not for revenge,but because he don't want to be a weapon/tool of the Hidden Leaf,and he becames not an copy-paste version of Sasuke or Obito,but instead an anti-hero version of Jiraiya and founds the Kitsune 12, a group made of Nukenins who are members of powerful clans from the other 4 Great Nations and clans with wished and unique Kekkei Genkais like the one that Kimimaro's clan had around the same age as Naruto(alongside with a still alive Haku and a sick-healed Kimimaro as a Sound Village traitor who killed Orochimaru)who are also unhappy with the Shinobi System and founds this group to undoes the Akatsuki and bring the peace to the Shinobi World that the 5 Kage can't bring(Naruto could still holds Jiraiya's wish to find an answer for peace) as a way to redeem themselves!

Rock Lee should've trained up Sakura in Taijutsu so by the time the final battle came she'd opened up her gates to the blue level. With her talent for chi control, she could heal as her body as it damages itself. Lee could also have his inability to access chi healed through ninja healing and experimental surgery. The surgery would pull his physical fitness back several stages, putting him on crutches but would allow him to learn basic ninjutsu. The pair would form an almost symbiotic relationship with her helping with his rehab and chi training and him teaching her to unlock her taijutsu potential. When Boruto came around they'd make a far better couple than her and (clearly gay) Sasuke, plus shed seem like as viable Hokage candidate as Naruto or Sasuke

Here's an idea: When Kurama gets pulled from Naruto by Madara with the Gedo Statue, instead of Minato using some Kyuubi Yin Yang bull, Obito should use the Rinne rebirth on Naruto bringing him back to life whilst also dying due to the Jutsu. This would be almost a passing of the torch moment where Obito passes the hope of his young life onto Naruto.

I feel like Naruto's training should've taken more seriously because all the only jutsus Naruto seemingly knows are the transformation, replacement, shadow clones, summoning, rasengen( and it's variants). So during the time he "trained" with Jiraiya, he should've been tested his chakra nature, learn so wind techniques along with some fire, earth, or water ones, learned fuinjutsu(his clan were the masters of it), and maybe how use a different weapon besides kunai & shuriken. I know Jiraiya isn't a master of any weapon, but they traveling for 3 years they bound to run into someone who was weapon master of the sort.

Yes especially comparing it to Sasuke, Naruto didn’t improve that much other than a little bit more smarter with his shadow clones. I wish they did more of sage mode but I understand it was saved for the pain arc. But Jiraiya when he was young went to the toad place and learn sage mode why didn’t he do that with Naruto? @@isabellaa8875 Yeah, my thing too is also that Naruto was also shown to be pretty smart using his shadow clones already in part 1, so it seems silly to me that the only thing Naruto seemed to have gotten from training from Jirayia was improvement on something he was already good at. He uses his shadow clones well in both the Forest of Death, in his fight with Kiba, and uses them to distract Neji to get the upper hand. And I'm pretty sure the fight with Gaara also has him using shadow clones to throw himself around. I feel like if they wanted to introduce "Naruto is better at using shadow clones", they should've introduced the whole "shadow clones retain the experiences of their users" earlier. I mean, the idea that Naruto doesn't know a crucial mechanic of his specialty jutsu despite training with a legendary ninja for 3 years seems a bit silly. They could easily just downplay the effectiveness of the "shadow clone training" thing so that Naruto doesn't completely surmount everyone's progress. Considering he went to train for 3 years so that he could hold his own against the Akatsuki, I feel like early shippuden Naruto would've gotten slapped by any Akatsuki member. He should've at least been able to be somewhat competitive against them in a fight.

This. The fact that Sakura/Hinata scarcely act within their own agency independent from the strong men in their lives is a telltale sign of what you mentioned. Their character motivations throughout the series, and the narrative role they play, revolve around being the "love interest" in contrast to the broad, productive goals many of their leading male counterparts have.

I completely agree. The fact that 9/10 female characters of this series are simply created for romance and that their role in the story is simply restricted to matters of the heart make Kishimoto a questionable story teller. Karin meant nothing other than being a mid wife and she is an uzumaki for crying out loud. Sakura, when she was introduced was a blank white sheet. You could have done so many things with her both as a character and a kunoichi. Kurenai just became pregnant and was left to be forgotten. Hinata is an iconic female stalker who gave two shits about her family friction, Ino is..... is..... is Ino I guess. The saddest female character to receive the short end of the stick is ten ten. Heck even ton ton the pig got more screen time than ten ten the human. I hate to say this, I hope I am wrong. But i think kishi has something against having strong female characters in his show.

More team battles. In that, a random single point I recall from pretty much the start of the series is Kakashi drilling into Team 7 that they are, ultimately, a team. So they need to act like it. Yet, often times this "teamwork" manifests itself as "I'll hold off this fellow while you go on ahead" or "I, this amazing powerhouse, have engaged in an epic duel with this other powerhouse so everyone stay clear or we will nuke you to oblivion!" Which really isn't anything resembling true teamwork. With more team battles, we can have situations where each member contributes meaningfully to the conflict, despite radically different power levels. Which can be used to give more screen time to minor characters without subtracting from the main characters. Plus it helps build on core values of the series through showing how, when friends work together, they can achieve amazing things.

On the topic of teamwork, is it odd that I wanted the Konoha 11 plus Sasuke (I guess that would make it the Konoha 12) to fight against the sound and sand ninja, showing unity for the team to come in part 2 and the others to all hang out together after that until Sasuke leaves? Tobirama ordered the Senju clan to interbreed with the rest of the village, causing their clan name to kinda disappear over time. He did this to separate the Senju from the Uchiha, who constantly bred with each other to retain the existance of the Sharingan.

A great way to upgrade Sakura to be more useful in fights: UTILIZE 👏 INNER 👏 SAKURA 👏 MORE!!! SERIOUSLY, why was this just all of a sudden dropped by Part 2?! I get it, maybe her not having Inner Sakura moments are supposed to represent her being more mature, but if that's the case, why not use it even better by having Inner Sakura as a GENJUTSU?!! Something she can actually hone in & control as a weapon against people?! And maybe have moments where enemies try to use Genjutsu on her, but she has such skill with Genjutsu release that she's able to COUNTER with Inner Sakura, sorta like what she did to Ino!!!

I've honestly been contemplating drafting a fan-made "rewrite" of the whole story of Naruto and your two videos really gave me a lot of great ideas. My main goals are I want to re-tell the story without asspull continuity changes. A vast majority of this stuff I agree with as well, especially making Sakura and Hinata much more developed characters outside of their feelings for Sasuke and Naruto, but also making those relationships more developed. Both characters should have wound up becoming much, MUCH more powerful than they were. Also, how cool would it have been to have Naruto be telling Hinata Pain's abilities during her fight against him so that maybe she could've had more of an impact? The only big thing I disagree with is your points about the Edo Tensei army. While I agree it ABSOLUTELY should've been Orochimaru and not Kabuto bringing everyone back, I don't think having the army itself was the problem; the main problem was who Kishimoto decided to bring back. There were WAAAAAY too many characters brought back and a lot of them were random characters we either never heard of, or didn't have a strong enough emotional connection with, or weren't powerful enough to justify bringing back. There should have been fewer characters, but each one should have an emotional impact AND should have had access to ALL of their powers so the battles are still imposing, there's emotional payoff, each battle is intimate, and nothing feels bloated. I think bringing back the 6 dead jinchuuriki, the former kage, and former members of the Akatsuki makes perfect sense (though they should've also brought back Konan), along with bringing back Zabuza + Haku, Granny Chiyo at full power, and Hanzo of the Salamander at full power. BUT instead of Ginkaku and Kinkaku, the 7 Ninja Swordsmen, and other bs characters like that and instead of bringing back not -as- important characters like Asuma, Hizashi Hyuga and Dan Kato, they should've brought back Danzo, Jiraiya, Sakumo Hatake (The White Fang of the Leaf who we could FINALLY get to see fight, and it'd be really emotional to see him fight Kakashi), Fugaku Uchiha (who along with Itachi could've explained to Sasuke the truth of the Uchiha massacre, which would motivate Sasuke to have an epic final confrontation with Orochimaru to stop the Edo Tensei himself), and frankly they should've brought back Minato, which- if we're sticking with established continuities- they would've needed to do since Obito and Madara would've needed his Nine Tails chakra in order to revive the Ten Tails, since it used to be that they needed all of the chakra of every beast to revive it. Naruto could've sensed Minato's chakra and that would've motivated him to head right to the Gedo Statue, and from there some epic battles could ensue. I think there were two ultimate problems with the war: 1. Kishimoto forgot why he started a war in the first place. The whole purpose behind the war was that Obito/Madara needed the tailed beast chakra of Killer Bee and Naruto, and the Five Kage weren't willing to give them up (which is SUPER significant considering what the world in general thought of jinchuuriki and tailed beasts). So they launched a war where the Allied Shinobi Forces would have to protect Bee and Naruto from getting their beasts extracted. Problem is, it then became a thing where the one tentacle of chakra they got from Bee was enough, and the Nine Tails chakra in Ginkaku and Kinkaku (so stupid) was enough, so that chakra together for some reason was enough to bring back the Ten Tails. So... why start a war to get Bee and Naruto's chakra if you had enough already? There should have been much higher stakes for Obito, Madara and Kabuto (in my version, Orochimaru). They needed to actually kidnap Naruto and Bee and getting every ounce of chakra to revive the Ten Tails. That had to be the goal, otherwise the war was pointless. 2. I personally think the Infinite Tsukuyomi is... kinda dumb. The final goal of Obito/Madara should've just been to revive the Ten Tails to destroy the shinobi world and start over. This would give Madara room to use the same language he and Hashirama used when they were younger: "To create a world of peace, where children don't have to go to war." I just think the idea of casting a genjutsu on the moon and having the moon reflect a genjutsu onto the world... eh... It feels more epic to just revive the Ten Tails- which has been hyped up since the start of Shippuden- and have it create a new shinobi world. And then some combo or Madara and/or the Ten Tails could be the final boss of the show. Boom done. This wound up being really long but would love to know what you/others think!

One thing: I agree with you that the Infinite Dream was a dumb plan, and not one that anyone would realistically agree with. During the war, we see the Divine Tree absorbing Chakra from humans. What if Obito's goal was to take Chakra away from everyone? The Great Ninja Wars could not be fought if there were no Ninja, the era of Warring Clans could not exist without Shinobi Clans to wage battle. And it's best we not forget that Rin effectively died because she was a Jinchuriki. Take away the Tailed Beasts, no more Jinchuriki. Thoughts?

naruto's lineage. the story sets up naruto to be this no-body, no clan, no significant perantage, and i find it kinda suspicious that no-one seemed to notice the similarities between his and minato's apperance (apart from jiraya). and honestly, it kinda pissed me off a little that he was set up as a nobody, with nothing other than the ninetails (which should have become a disadvantage, not an advantage, like, maybe he struggles for controll as the seal weakens, and coz the fourth isnt there, they can't strengthen the seal, and if he gets too angry, maybe kurama starts taking controll of not only his chakra flow but his body, and the backlash is painful and could potentially cause permanent damage if allowed to go on for too long), then all of a sudden, he has the lineage of not only apowerful branch of a powerful clan, but also the fourth hokage. sure, have minato and kushina still meet him in the seal, coz, as the 9 tails jinchuriki and the man who made the seal, it would still make sense that they'd wanna help him. but maybe his parents could be a little more insignificant, maybe a civillian woman who died during childbirth and a rouge nin, potentially alive or dead, (coz it would be another reason for the village to hate him, he's not only the demon child, but has the blood of a criminal in his veins too). another thing was the uzumaki clan thing. it was said that uzumaki clan members have red hair by one of the characters, but naruto seems to be the exception. so maybe instead of red hair being one of the uzumaki clan's defining traits, maybe have them as a clan with no defining trait other than their chakra reserves and natral affinity to sealing jutsus. and naruto's father could be from a minor branch of the clan, so the chakra reserve would be larger than average, making naruto seem ideal for the task of being the jinchuuriki, but not as large as a main branch. and have naruto explore his natural affinity for sealing jutsu. maybe something about the elders preventing him from trying them due to his role as jinchuriki, or have jiraya teach him some seals in an attempt to give him a fighting chance against kurama's increasingly vicous escape attempts. and there is nothing wrong with jiraya becoming naruto's father figure, alongside iruka (in fact, have naruto spendmore time with iruka over the course of the series). i was just a little annoyed at naruto turning out to be the super special after setting him up as a relative nobody, like in his fight against neji, which perhaps could have been won due to him training taijutsu instead of utilising the nine tails chakra, emphasising the message of hard work vs talent. and show afew more scenes of him training hard during his childhood, maybe show him to have an issue with concentration to give him the excuse as to why he struggles with class work, instead of it just being that he wasnt paying attention due to laziness and playing pranks. so that he is working hard at this stuff. sure he can still pull pranks for attention, in fact they could be a way for him to show off when he finally gets something right coz he's so exited, but they arent as much of a big deal, and he does them outside of schooltime, and the village's hate towards him just makes it seem worse coz the villagers blow it out of proportion. and he can still start off loud and obnoxious, but emphasis the idea that he's making up for and hiding insecurities. sorry its kinda long for only two points, but these are the two points i feel most strongly about when it comes to naruto. also, there was a missed opportunity for fox boy naruto. i would have liked to see naryto with fox tails and fox ears, which is plausable with the series set up, especially seeing B using the tentatails and fuu using those wings. tho this could just be coz of my love for kemonomimi people, especially cats and foxes. and the bubly red chakra cloak is definately superior to glowy oragne naruto. coz the desighn for that is kinda boring, and i couldnt make sense of how it worked since no other jinchuriki had something similar, even if he was indra's reincarnation of some shit like that. in fact, get rid of the asura and indra reincarnation shit. the set up made the rivalries make perfect sense anyway. highligting parallels and bringing in the story for the villag's pregudice against the uchiha is fine. and instead use teamwork to bring down madara. by this point, sasuke could have advanced his eyes all the way to rinnegan (oh yeah, that could have been brought in earlier too, as some stuff kept secret amongst the uchiha, have it mentioned by background uchiha caracters in flashbacks or something), and we have all the tailed beasts willing to work with naruto and potentially attack madara from the inside, and we have the konoha 11, plus sai, and some of the senseis (coz we are not nerfing kakashi, anko is badass and i wanted to see more of her, her filler arc from the original series should have a bit of it implemented into canon,maybe in between orochimaru giving sasuke thee curse mark and sasuke leaving, plus we got yamato. i'm sure we can fit him in somehow), and theres the five kage lineup, and in this version, the females arent as useless coz we're fixing that thanks. plus maybe a few others from outside the village, like gaara, kankuro and temari, and B, and team hebi. and a few other known powerful shinobi that i wanted to see more of. coz we are having the ultimate teamup here thanks. plus it gives more potential for killing off characters. oh and btw, i think having hinata's father sacrificing himself to protect neji when neji jumps in to protect hinata (and make ot so naruto is in danger there aswell, you could have both naruto and neji jumping in to protect her) would bring a nice close to that story, especially if we are implementing the idea of neji fighting for naruto and hinata to be able to be together, coz it could be a way to emphasize his approval, let him say it in his dying words or somethimg aswell, and maybe a few flashbacks, just to really drive home the point. and would be much more meaningful than killing neji off in my opinion.

Yeah Naruto’s speech to Neji about how destiny isn’t everything and you can surpass others low expectations of you becomes less meaningful when you realize the only reason he won the fight is because he had the nine tails.I think Naruto being able to use the nine tails’s power should be something he should have to push harder to do.I still like him using it when he is raging but maybe make it so at when he travels with Jiraya he starts to push his use of the nine tails’s power and starts to utilize some of his chakra and slowly gets to use it more and more.It kinda if felt the only reason Naruto was strong was because of Kurama so I think he should have grounds to stand on his own without Kurama and once he gets there then he starts to use learn how to use Kurama’s powers.In the pain arc I have this senario in my head where the male Konoha eleven team up with there parents (in Neji and Lee’s case the team up with Hiashi and Gai respectively) and take on one of the paths of pain themselves (maybe two of the pairs on one path) while the kunoichi fight Konan this way everyone gets more screen time.I kind of agree with Hiashi dying espicially if we have Hinata’s feelings about Naruto be a conflict in the Huyga clan as a final act of approval after seeing Neji give his life up for Hinata and Naruto he instead sacrifices himself as a way to thank Neji for protecting Hinata and sort of give him a break as this was how neji had been raised.TBH Hiashi didn’t really have a reason to still be there so I think this would of been a great decision

I don't have problems on Naruto being the son of a Kage and a member of a respected and feared Clan,I Just think that this Idea could have been better developed,Naruto should have been adopted by Hiruzen (he can still be a loser, but don't made him repeat class 3 times)and Hiruzen can teach Naruto some of the jutsus that Minato and Kushina uses when they were Alive(good opportunity to make Naruto strong without the 9 Tails so he doesn't need too much Plot-no-Jutsu,Genma teachs Naruto FTG,Gai can teach Naruto how to open some of the 8 Gates and Jiraiya can teach Naruto most of the Uzumaki clan's fuujinjutsus), but Just Tell Naruto that his parents died in the Kyuubi attack and the 4th Hokage sealed inside him, but Naruto start to distrust Hiruzen's version of the story, which mades him with the feeling of I KNEW IT when he mets Minato and Kushina inside of his consciousness!

instead of getting rid of them, introduce the ideas of them earlier, but dont have anyone using them, coz its rare. i'd argue it as one of the places where naruto failed in its power scaling. it set up limits then threw them outta the window. so they should have set those limits higher. potentially have itachi using a half formed susano'o in the clan slaughter, or have orochimaru talk about some of the incredible things the sharnagan is capable of when he is trying to lure sasuke over, maybe promising him to help unlock it, have tsunade compare herself to hashirama as one reason why she doesn't feel she can be hokage, and dont reanimate the hokage during konoha crush coz thet set their power bar too low. instead have orochimaru summon a "cheap immitation" of the hokage, say that they have only a mear fraction of the actual hokage, but its still enough to beat the third, and have someone say that he has eakened greatly due to age, drive home that they are no-where near full power, but show what they are still capable regardless, so if thats only a fraction of their full power or what they were capable of at their prime, then what is the full power of a shinobi like. and make it clearer that the reason none of the current generation are that strong is coz it's times of peace, hey havent had a reason to get super strong super quickly, YET. just establish early on that shinobi are capable of such power, instead of introducing the power ups as and when they are needed for plot. that way even ove the top, god level battles can seem more grounded. especially if we arent facing down kagura and using more characters in a teamup against madara, and NOT NERFING KAKASHI. coz then it balances out. sure naruto and sasuke can be the strongest, but having the other's at higher levels brings the god tier a bit closer to ground too. (also they should have had to have trained for that final power up, not get given it easily. have it as some legendary trail located at the waterfall that is sealed off to anyone unless they meet the condition of combining the strenght of dojutsu progidy, hard work and the tailed beasts, and that it must be two close friends. which would explain why not even madara and hashirama could get it. and that could be where sasuke and naruto have their final showdown against each ther and patch things up (have sasuke have awakened the rinnegan and naruto have all the tailed beast on his side by this point). sure it switches up the order of happenings a bit, and we need an excuse to get them to go there before madara awakens, but i think it would fit in more organically and take the reincarnation bullshit that took away even more of naruto's status as underdog.

@@bacrope They did reanimate other kage but they still didn't really get a full lineup of legendary badasses with their first kage being weirdly generic when we see them in the flashback showing the first kage summit. Including the living ones, Mist and Sand got 3/5, Lightning got 2/4 and Stone got 2/3. Sand got the best lore for their kage due to Gaara and likely their alliance with Konoha requiring more exposition, like how Mist was brought into relevance early in the series with the ninja swordsman and bloody mist backstory and also got a somewhat better showing than the other two villages.

The production value of this is really high. Props to you. A change that I would suggest though, is for Naruto to not have gone so much into it's lore. Hagoromo should not have been the immortal ghost that he was in the series. He should have remained as a legend that Madara attempted to surpass. Indra and Asura should not have a reincarnation cycle, as it cheapens Naruto and Sasuke's characters, along with validating chunin-exam Neji's ideology about fate and destiny. Indra and Asura should have remained as legends, myths that are suspected to be the founders of the Uchiha and Senju. The story started to feel cheap and nonsensical when the lore became the central plot point of the show. The focus was shifted from the characters that we've been following to to this literal group of chakra gods. This stunted the growth of honestly all of the show's characters. The only person to come back from the halls of myth and legend should have been Uchiha Madara, no one else

Personally I would cut out a few of the villain redemptions. I feel like most of the villains (especially in part 2) were way more fleshed out than the konoha 12. I understand wanting to provide motives for them, and it generally worked, but pretty much any fight naruto had to go through wasted so much time just rehashing his life story and being like “hey we’re a lot alike but I had friends!” And the villain either being “redeemed” (they don’t really do much to show or earn it but they turn good or sympathetic so I am just using the term redemption) or at least portrayed in a good light. I get that it’s kind of a theme for the story, but it loses its punch really early and after you start thinking about it, that’s dozens of wasted chapters and character development. I say wasted because the reformed bad guy generally dies right after being fixed. Think of how that time could have been spent (preferably on anyone who isn’t naruto or sasuke, but I would pay good money for it to go to the women of naruto so they can be built up). Also I actually really dislike Obito as a villain. His story was a mess and I hated his thing with Rin. It left me feeling like Rin was just used by another person. Also the ridiculous puppet master style of big bad in the war was dumb. Just toss out Obito surviving the rock and make it all madara. I haven’t thought much about how to logically make that last one work though since obito was a huge part of part 2. Bonus opinion nobody asked for: let lee actually win a fight after he beat sasuke. Pretty sure every one on one after that lee just ends up crushed and it’s sad (not including the time he fought the trap acting as himself, because that wasn’t even a real person). I have more but those are my main ones.

Hard disagree on getting rid of the love angle between Sakura and Naruto. It would've simply made more sense if Sakura after some point (probably after Sasuke becomes an international criminal and tries to kill her) that any shred of affection she had for Sasuke is gone. The gradual love build up Sakura had for Naruto along with her increase in abilities is what makes her character so endearing. So, yeah, I don't see why one would get rid of it.

I just wanted the konoha 11 especially the girls have more development. Like during the fight with team 10 and hidan I feel like ino didn't get to show off her sensing skills till the war and then boom she was a sensory ninja cause the plot needed it as she was the only yamanaka we knew left. Like during the fight with hidan and kakuzu she could call out attacks and help them dodge attacks with her telepathy since kakuzu had multiple dolls and she could be responsible with monitoring the battle field from a distance and not letting shikamaru and choji get caught off guard. Also there should have been a formation ino shika cho moment in that fight as that's the whole idea of team 10 and what asuma trained them to do

Tobirama suddenly being the big brain inventor Hokage behind the shadow clone jutsu, flying raijin and reanimation technique was such an ass-pull during the War Arc. He was always shown as the Water Kage. He did big water dragons and used water against Hiruzen when he was reanimated Orochimaru. His death was also so stupid. He dies fighting a high level ninja squad, when you have Minato who can casually solo an army of Stone ninjas. A few ninja, high level or not, should be no match to a Hokage, especially a veteran ninja equipped with the flying raijin.

Also, 9:43 Orochimaru was never evil. He was just a person with an insatiable curiosity who was willing to go to any lengths to quench it. The only reason he was painted as evil was because his methods, although rational, were often inhumane and paralleled the main character's ideology. Even in Boruto's he's not particularly evil or good. He's still doing the same thing he was doing before the series, it just means he and Konoha made a truce. Orochimaru would share his findings with them and not attack the village, and in return Naruto would remove him from the "public enemy #1" list and allow turn a blind eye to everything Orochimaru has done and is still doing in return for that information.

Other fixes I would do: 1. Gaara's Talk no Jutsu must be logical. Instead of being because plot convenience, it will be due to other factors. How? I don't know. I leave it to others. 2. Tobi helps Sasuke for no reason after Danzo's death. Scratch that. I want Tobi to take advantage of him like before. 3. I think I prefer Sasuke in crazy mode. It would be spectacular and his final battle against Naruto would be deeper. Therefore, no Sasuke- Itachi reunion. 4. Lee vs Gaara on the exams should have ended in a draw. 5. Chiyo and Sakura vs Sasori ended with a Deux Ex Machina. I want them to beat Sasori with coherence. 6. Sasuke acted as an idiot at the Kage reunion before their encounter with Danzo. Instead of Tobi rescuing him, how about Tobi convinces Sasuke telling him about the Sharingans Danzo has? 7. No Izanami. 8. More Lee and Gai cases around the other villages. Maybe Lee can teach a kid with the same deficiency as him. While at it, explain why some people have that deficiency with Chakra. 9. More characters interaction. Like Naruto should have misions with the other teams, making bonds with them. Like those fillers. 10. I don't see any porpoise on Deidara vs Sasuke fight. Put Deidara fighting other people who can actually beat him. Or maybe Sasuke and his team can defeat Deidara together. 11. Sakura should know pression point combat. She is a ninja medic, she should use her knowledge of the human body and Chakra channels to beat her opponents. 12. Kakuzu got beaten in a stupid way. Make his battle with Naruto more logical, long and with better strategies. 13. Kakashi's mask filler must be canon! 14. Tobi being Obito's execution was absurd. Make it more logical. 15. Give Hashirama cells more sense. 16. No Izanagi! 17. Karin needs a better personality. Give her the backstory filler and make it canon, and write her a personality according to those events. 18. Konan should have beaten Tobi. Therefore, she can fight with Naruto, and Zetsu can be the one to revive Madara. 19. Sasuke has won many fights in Shippuden through Deus Ex Machina, allow him to lose.

In the spirit of Kishimoto's storytelling, I'd explain it through a lovely asspull. The Curse Mark is an extension of sage chakra, right? So instead of the power being directly tied to Orochimaru, it's more like Orochimaru gifted him sage chakra which he can conveniently hide his own chakra DNA in. Once his DNA is extracted, the sage chakra is still left behind and Sasuke can call upon it all the same without the downside of Orochimaru being able to resurrect himself from within Sasuke.

About reviving Madera it would make no sense for Obito to do it as he originally never plan or wanted to revive him which Madera was aware was a possibility so he created black zetsu to force the rebirth. So it would make more sense for Madera to be a weak Edo Tensei after all it was established as a jutsu early on, so it would be better for him to be revived that way we the audience can see how Madera was a lot early on rather than appearing suddenly at the end like Kaguya.

Awesome video. I have a few suggestions you could incorporate in part 3: Lee basically disappeared in part 2. He was a fan favorite and an awesome character and he basically got written out of the story. He got no major fights, no character development, no arc, nothing. He should have been just as much of a main player in part 2 as he was in part 1. He was iconic and they did him dirty. Ditto for Hinata even though she wasn't shafted quite as much. Kakashi should have lost the mask. At some point it just became silly for him to always have it on, and actually hindered his character, stopping him from feeling fully dimensional and developed. Maybe introduce some plot relevant reason for why he wears it so much, have a few mask-less moments and then ditch it. The 4th shinobi war was a huge let down and we got NO cool new characters out of it. This war featured *the entire shinobi world*. Ninjas from every village, powerful ninjas, inexperienced ninjas, old ninjas, young ninjas, badass ninjas... but all we got was nameless NPCs. We should have been introduced to some crazy new characters with cool techniques and designs but we got nothing. The war also shouldn't have been against generic white Zetsu fodder. It should have been actual ninjas. I actually like the idea of Edo Tensei being used in the final stretch of the series because it came up as a major threat in the end of the Chunin exam arc and it felt fitting for it to return in a big way. So why not a whole army of zombie ninjas? Featuring characters from the past that never got their chance to shine and a bunch of fallen ninjas that could have been alluded to during the series. It would actually help to give the final battle a sense of finality and an epic scale. In general, the amount of Jutsus mastered by any given character was pretty lacking. Orochimaru artificially extended his lifespan for the sole purpose of mastering new techniques and yet we only ever see him do snake related stuff. A good example of someone having a wide array of Jutsus at their disposal would be Jiraya in the hidden rain village. He created energy fields, illusions, summonings, hit Konan with oil to counteract her paper and in general he felt like one of the few ninjas who wasn't a one-trick pony. How cool and rewarding would it feel if at the end of the story we got a tactical and experienced Naruto who used a set of diverse jutsus in creative and inventive ways? Instead of just spamming shadow clones and rasengan variations? It would actually feel like he matured and developed as a ninja, instead of just becoming more OP and being able to blow stuff up more easily. The other villages needed to be explored more in general. I love the plot thread of the "blood mist" and other hints at a larger, more developed history and lore for the other villages but we needed more. The same level of world building and lore we got with Konoha. I love the idea you brought up about characters maturing and relationships changing. I love the idea of Sakura moving on from Sasuke romantically, and Naruto actually getting in a relationship with Hinata after her confession. In general, we needed more emotional depth and more focus on relationships and not just the Naruto/Sasuke bond. Showing Naruto actually having a girlfriend and navigating a romantic relationship with someone would have given his character more dimension.

I have a theory pls read if you have time :) 1) The reanimation jutsu should be there because there are no very important character who we were emotionally attached (except Itachi) to reanimated and most character we did not even see the death like the kage of other nation so there revival did not emotionally bound anything 2) Tsunade should die when nine tail is extracted from naruto like lady chiyo and her final words would be "Naruto become the horkage achieve your dream sorry i have to leave" then sakura would get that triangle seal (dont know the name ) and then there will be a like afterlife moment where we see the 2 legendary sannin orochimaru and tsunade saying to eachother "Lets go jiraiya is waiting " but we don't see jiraiya after life persona because i dont now probbaly he is alive in boruto manga not sure he was not renamiated so it can be 3) Itachi will give his susanno's totsuka blade and yata mirror to sasuke because we know it is a object that is not itachi's ability because orochimaru was also searching for it and in the bag where orochimaru was sealed , sasuke will use the reverse seal jutsu and he will get the whole conscious of orochimaru by this orochimaru will remain dead and now they can revive the 4 horkage because sasuke have all orochimaru's knowledge and yes orochimaru needs to be dead he has no point in the series after that 4)Kakashi will get the MS from obito like he did before but here before obito dies he will punch kakashi in the stomach making him unconscious and sakura will transplant his eye to kakashi and just before obito turning into dust he would says to kakashi " Protect Naruto , sasuke and sakura for me , and my dreams , i am handing it to you kakashi goodbye my friend " and now kakashi have 2 MS and i dont know will he be able to use sussanoo or not i think not perfect sussanoo but medium and after the sealing kaguya they would find that there is no way out of this place and sakura would be unconscious as she was using a lot of chakra and then kakashi will remember what obito said and will make a huge portal because he have to transport all tail beast also and we know kakashi dont have enough chakra for that then kakashi will say " Obito i did not managed to fulfill my last promise but this time i wont let them die even if it kills me " and as all the beast are coming and naruto is naturally amazed how big the portal is then when every one is out the portal will start closing and naruto will say come on kakashi sensei come through then kakashi would reply " Sorry naruto i cant goodbye team 7 I LOVE YOU ALL" then the flash back will come that he says i hate you all and then the portal will close then the episode ends in the next episode where everyone is crying we see a shadow coming towards them and it is kakashi with one eye white then he will say " Obito you saved me again " then he realized he preactivated izanagi because kakashi would have to open the portal and we know Izanagi can be preactivated if you want kakashi can die there it would be a fitting end but i think alive kakashi is better than dead kakashi and now kakashi also have a sharingan only one sharaingan because we dont want him spamming suassano and finally that sasuke have totska blade and yata mirrior the fight will be more interesting

He has no experience with the Byakugan so again what would he have done for Hinata you aren’t explaining that at all. Hinata stayed the weakest on her team and Sakura surpassed her. The thing about Hinata is she was physically weak and her body was frail. She represented a brave woman not a strong one. She didn’t even want to be a ninja and in the end is living the life she always wanted.

About the power ceiling, I actually think the ambiguous power scaling is one of the series biggest strengths. While it may come from plot holes and inconsistent power scaling rather than actual ambiguity, it makes almost any fight without plot armor intense and interesting because you legitimately are able to not know who would win, even if a character has been established as stronger.

I would say that a big win wasn't the main need of Naruto's freinds, but instead actual development. Rock Lee can't use either Nin or Gen because he can't release chakra out of his body, maybe he could master chakra control, Sage Mode and then be the first user of pure Taijutsu who would've learned Sage Mode through his own effort. Neji and Hinata deserved more, as well as Kiba who had never gotten the chance to learn anything except fang over fang, Choji could have created more techniques for his clan, Shino's whole moveset was cool and the addition of something related to Senjutsu would just make it even cooler, Ten Ten should've been made into some sort of Smith Sage that produces weapons out of her chakra, Shikamaru and Ino would become even better as a tactic duo thanks to heightened senses. There are many ways to improve their characters, while also removing Naruto and Sasuke from the ''chosen one'' pedestal which has only harmed them over time.

Rock Lee learning Sage Mode then creating a theoretical ''Ninth'' gate that doesn't kill the user and instead makes them ''rebirth'' (Phoenix of Dawn could be the name of its technique, I based this on the myths of martial artist who ascend to ''enlighment'' through meditation and physical, those being Sage Mode and Taijutsu). The other members of the Leaf Squad would also have their own stories tying them to Sage Mode, an example would be Hinata learning before Neji, proving him once again that fate doesn't play a part in their lives and he must make choices on his own in order to protect what matters (the whole thing Naruto wanted to prove him when they fought, this would also be the first step to breaking the Hyuga's mindset of first and second lineages), Ten Ten's could relate to her love for weapons and the stories behind them, and maybe, even find/forge legendary weapons similar to the Seven Swords of the Mist (those blades are strong without any explanation, Samehada has a mind and yet we don't know how), Ino-Shikamaru-Choji improve the Ino-Shika-Cho formation by connecting themselves through Sage Chakra, Shino and Kiba discover their respective Sage Modes that would draw them closer to animals and summoned animals, Sakura would be the first medical ninja who would use Sage Healing (making her useful not just as a medical ninja, but as a complete person).
