We have an e51 Nissan Elgrand. We have charged the cam sensors and just recently the camshaft position sensor and this code is still coming up. Would the above method clear that error? Because he is convinced that it is the timing chain and wants to charge 3000 on that. He did so an oil change previously as well

Sorry I meant the crankshaft position sensor. So first he did oil change and said he didn't have the right oil, said he changed the solenoid valves as well, then did crankshaft position sensor and the error is still there

@@nondainc it is now. Before we were getting a different code and that's when we changed the cam sensors

Had this issue that I chased for a while. It turned out to be a stretched main timing chain AND a broken phaser on the intake camshaft. Took apart the old phaser and removed chunks of broken metal. Cleaned them up filed down the high spots😢,powdercoated and now use them as a Keychain 😄

We have had our car sitting. We went and got an oil change from jiffy lube (worst mistake). Our oil hand was hoing up and down we took it back there, they acted like they didnt do nothing wrong. We didnt have no problems until we went there. Well long story short after leaving there our car died and hadnt started. It did show the code p0021 after getting the oil changed there. Please help.

They may have used a wrong engine oil or they don't refilled the engine with the correct amount of oil (this affects the oil pressure within the engine and the engine may not start). You may check the oil level/type and check for oil leaks.
