Thanks. It seems so simple now that I watched your video and made the fix, but I spent a MONTH putting it off. It wasn’t until I watched your video that I got the energy to deal with this. The only thing that threw me for a minute when buying the part was that my toilet has a side handle and most of the parts at the hardware store are for front handles. They did say you could bend the arm but that just seemed like a recipe for disaster so I managed to find a unit specifically designed for side units. It was a few bucks more but installed perfectly! Thanks again for your super clear video!

The manager at my apartment complex fired our maintenance guy because he didn't believe in using "bandaids" for repairs. Pity for us because we lost the best thing that ever happened to our community. So... since we don't have a maintenance person, and since her responses have been non-existent when it comes to a simple repair to my toilet, I decided to do my research online and I found your video. Thank you! I was having a problem where pushing the handle down as far as it would go was barely opening the flapper. You helped me figure out that it was the chain that was too loose after having had the flapper replaced. I adjusted the chain and now it works properly again!
