How to fix paper jam and feed problems on an Epson Inkjet Workforce/WF printer

Thanks for giving me the push I needed to clean my rollers. I was having awful problems with both the printer and scanner picking up multiple sheets. Cleaning the rollers with 70% isopropyl seems to have fixed the issue for now. Much appreciated!

thank you so much!! I didn't know you could pull out the bit that has the rollers, to clean the rollers. Pulling that out revealed an accordian-folded piece of stuck paper which I cleared, and another sheet behind that (I thought the track was empty... hah!). I used a lint-free cloth just slightly damped to give the rollers a rub, but I think they were actually fine... anyway, paper feed working just fine now! Thanks for keeping it simple!

@@DanielJohnHowTo I have an Epson WF-2540 into which has been spilled sticky ant bait syrup . My understanding is that the back wall of the paper feed is supposed to move forward to push the paper against the roller, and I think it is stuck and is not doing so. I'm having trouble accessing this back wall mechanism to clean it and/or free it up, so I am thinking maybe I should remove the ant trap from the area and hope the ants come back and eat the bait out of the machine? If not, info on how to clean and/or free up this moveable back wall might be helpful.

Thank you. I kept getting the paper jam error but there was no paper jam. I was at my wit's end because I was trying to copy some paperwork I needed in order to renew my business license. I ended up cleaning my printer with 70% alcohol but I will buy the solution you recommend. Just added it to my Amazon cart. Thanks a bunch.

Thank you for your video! After a few attempts, what I found worked for me (which I saw in another video) was to pull each of the ink cassettes out and then push them right back in. On my printer only then did go back into regular print mode. You may have to restart the printer.

What about the issue with the wf7720 NOT feeding paper through paper cartridges. It grabs the paper but makes a loud hard CLICK and says paper jam ....I've looked and looked no paper jam. But it will print through the rear feeder. But I can't do the nozzle checks or printing test sheets through rear feeder.

@@DanielJohnHowTo I honestly can't tell where it's coming from once the paper is grabbed from tray and it feeds up to print head that's when it makes the loud CLICK and says paper jam. And it spits the paper fwd maybe an inch

@@TheeKoraLynn yes. Was the rollers (paper feed ones in tray and back ones) got some rubber renue off amazon. Washed with warm water, lint free 100% cotton linen, and for coats of rubber renue, also air dusted the heck and cleaned all dust. Hope it helps!!!

You can avoid getting the chemical on the plastic by applying 1.5 inch or 2 inch blue painters tape next to the rollers before cleaning them. Then, remove the tape after you're done cleaning.

im only getting a jam on anything outside of printing in letter and in normal. if i change paper size or even print in the same letter size but change the quality settings it will spit out a paper jam error. im on mac os 10.13

Recently my wf7720 wont feed paper. I can hear it start to then there's a click sound and the paper jam error pops up. Any recommendations on how to fix this?

firstly remove all paper draws and back roller and check there's nothing in there. then if that's good it could be the cartridge assembly is somehow stuck, you can try sliding it all the way left/right and making sure nothing blocks it on the right let me know if that helps

so ive just bought an epson wf-7845 and in the setup menu after i set the time and date, its telling me there is a paper jam, but there is no paper in the printer, what could cause this?

pull everything out, check and then put it back also try and move the ink cartridge carriage left/right and see if that fixes it, it may be locked so an ink change will let you do that

@@gersonreyna5474 yea what I had to do was pull the back of the printer out and unscrew the piece on the side and make sure all the rotors was rotating after that it was printing back to normal

Hi Chelle what part did you unscrew? Mine just started the print jam error.

@@lachastawhite7529 when I pulled the piece out from the back there were some screws on that same piece. I took those out cleaned the rotors and it worked find again after that.
