How to fix PlayStation Vita trigger shoulder (L/R) buttons

Bought a use PS Vita one Ebay. End up having to replace the (L/R) buttons and clean the analog sticks.

Parts are very hard to find now. Keep looking. New stuff pops up all the time.

Got a vita slim and control buttons dont work in games but works for navigating etc. Not sure what to do in this regard, inputs will be helpful

Total guess...perhaps I'm right..are the buttons assigned on the emulator of choice?

Most likely is due to the L and R button sending out signal even if they are not press down. I would look into cleaning them or replacing them out.

Yeah I have the same issue, face buttons and d-pad completely unresponsive outside of the basic menus. Tried disconnecting the L/R buttons since I heard that was a major culprit and no dice, so my Vita is shot.

Try to disconnect both analog stick and see if the D-pad works, also, try just the right side first as well. Unfortunately it a lot of trial and error to figure out specifically was is damage and not working.

Try cleaning the contact pad below the home button to see if it starts working again. If not then the Left side daughter board will need to be replaced. www.ifixit.com/Guide/PlayStation+Vita+PS+Button+Replacement/8090

I personally haven’t tried Bluetooth on a PS. Vita. I know it uses the old 2.1 version of Bluetooth that may not be as fast as a modern device. Here is a link to step on how to set up Bluetooth on the PS Vita. manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psvita/settings/bluetooth.html

Yes, replacing the trigger bottom fix the issue.

Yes, both vita system use the same R &L buttons.

What are you using to clean the button membrane?

I use IPA alcohol. If it ready dirty you can use electronic contact cleaner. Both of these liquids dry really fast so they won’t cause any corrosion.

Does anyone know if the 1000 replacement parts will work for the 1101 model (shoulder buttons)
