The 82-70 came out in the 60’s around like after the Brunswick Model “A” Pinsetter came out back then. It has a different chassis than this and the pinwheel is more like a Brunswick A2 Pinwheel with no gongs or no any noises. The 82-90XL had a newer much simple chassis like this and the pinwheel had the gong noises. Also there’s a 2nd version of the 82-90XL that had a newer table which is the steel table unlike the Aluminum Table in this video that is a reusable 82-70 Table. The 82-90XLi is pretty much a pre-version of the XLi EDGE with only just pinwheel still had the gonging makes the difference between 90XLi and XLi EDGE.

Christopher Rodmell. Correct, but here in the Philippines, most AMF centers (especially Brunswick Centers) were maintained except for SM Bowling (Philippines’ own Brunswick Zone or Bowlero) which is the place where all breakdowns happened many times.

First off that was not the sweep link assembly but the shifter link assembly. It looks like you didn't have the 1/4 inch clearance between the finger link(pawl) and the shifter link assembly. You obtain that clearance by adjusting the respot rod. Without that clearance the respot assembly won't shift and will be stuck in either the closed position, or in your case, the open position.

If the 8 Pin was stuck or misplace in the bin, then that would be the cause of a missing 8 Pin.

Shuttle is probably too far back. Adjust the shuttle rod to bring the shuttle forward

A2’s and Model A’s by Brunswick don’t very often do things that mess up the pins as long as their well maintained, other than sometimes the deck and ball lift jam occurs, but the AMF 82-70 and 82-90 Nah, they’re problems are worse, especially if poorly maintained, but now I’m thinking even if one has had a little maintenance over like 2 years the machine still does annoying things?, I seen a video of where a player knocked over 3 pins and with the remaining 7 the player just watched the setting table miss 4 and the sweep clears them all away

The GS is also as the same category as AMF, where the machine will fail many times without any maintenance. But it’s not as bad as AMF cause thanks to the Shark Fin for the pin distribution, it doesn’t cause any pin jams or pins being delayed (except that happens on GS-92 cause the Shark Fin isn’t automatic). There are also the Pin Holders which grips the pins better than the Pin Cups on AMF. But one flaw which is prone on GS Pinsetters is the Black Outs, those will occur anytime it wants to but it happens rarely. Both of the Ball Doors on GS and AMF are pretty much gonna cause Ball Jams (Ball doesn’t enter the Ball Door) if there are no maintenance but AMF has more prone of that cause it’s a paddle door than the Springy Flap Door on GS.

Kung hindi marunong or baguhan pa ang hahawak or maintainace hindi kaagad agad mareresulba ang problima. Dapat lataga nag aral or may experience na sa maintainance ng bowling.
