Don't do this, it does add input lag and effects performance. Just stick on AMD Enhanced Sync or Nvidia Fast Sync and cap your framerate at 0.01 below your refresh rate using RTSS.

Also a really good method to do this is to run chrome remote desktop and it'll smoothen out the game while it's running in the background unlike obs that actually affects fps performance

It did fix the tearing for me in BF1....but it caused major stutter at the same time so I would probably prefer the tearing over the constant stutter

if you set your FPS to unlimited it'll fix the stuttering and your screen tearing though. You'll also get higher FPS if it's set to unlimited than if it's get to 60

You can also fixed screen tearing by keeping adaptive v sync on in invidia control panel and lock the FPS to 61.3 its lot smoother and better than a v sync

hey guys i had a problem where i couldnt play any game without vsync, tried all the method.I saw all the tutorials. nothing works, but at last i uninstalled my graphic driver and downloaded a driver from Nvidia's official site and cleaned installed it. It worked!!!! no tearing at all,I recommend you you all to first clean reinstall your graphic driver and and then try the methods shown in the video. Thanks for the tutorial btw

PurpleRift Vsync for sure gives you lag. the only way the lag is unnoticeable is if you have an nvidia gpu and via control settings, change the Vsync to Fast
