How To FIX Shadow Print Issue for DTF Epson L1800 Printer

Before I get to know this solution method, I always keep performing Print Head Alignment but did not really solve the problem.
When I refer back to my supplier, they just keep asking me to change the print head. Really BAD.
This video is about How To FIX Shadow or Ghost Print Issues for DTF Epson L1800 Printer. Anyway, this method can be used for other models Epson DTF Printer.
Encoder Strip serves as a Highway/Expressway path for the Print Head. If the Strip is covered with dirt, it blocks the print head Sensor read the data properly. This is the main cause of the Shadow or Ghost Printing Issue ( Triple Print Image Left and Right )
Just get a piece of Tissue or Soft Polyester Fabric and make it wt with PLAIN WATER. Then rub the strip until it is clean.
If this method, does not 100% solve the problem then just perform the Print Head Alignment.

Thank you, Mr. Henry! We've had our L1800 based DTF printer for a few months and just started to have ghosting issues. When I watched your video, I remembered the maintenance instructions from our printer's manufacturer included this step, but they showed the inside of the printer with ink splattered everywhere and that has never been an issue with ours, so I suppose I forgot we needed to clean the encoder strip.

Hi, I have strange issue with my l1800. When I print big one color images (example: big black box) I see strange lines vertical and horizontal. It is like the ink is not equally spread. My settings are 90% color; 100% white. Any idea what might be the problem?

Base on my experience, this is related with icc profile issues. Feel free my video about this topic inside my playlist. Secondly, make sure all nozzle is healthy before start your printing job.

@@HenryTeoh I can't get any print except cmyk color in acro rip,If I print rgb it, blacks become dark blue. If I work in cmyk color only in agfa profile in photoshop, I can get colors close to the colors I want, very strange, I tried everything, no result I cleaned the ink tanks in a transparent color in the prints I took now, the result is the same, I changed the color settings, the result is the same

Like what you saw the settings I use inside the icc profile video is created match with the icc profile. One icc profile one settings I use.
