@@Disquan i know your problem, after i saw this video i trained to focus on the enemy only, im also a long time csgo player but in apex tracking is necessary. Its so much better than looking on your crosshair and shoot when a player ran into it. Imo you you need to train yourself and your eyes for trackin games cause its a different type of shooter. As i said, targeting the enemy only while shooting for tracking/apex and pinpoint accuracy for slowpace/flick shooter lile Val/csgo is the key! On the topic of focusing on the target, I recently found out how much having a high refresh rate monitor helps with that. I went from a bad 60hz monitor with heaps of ghosting to a decent 165hz monitor. It feels as if the targets are slowed down. This was especially apparent in faster more chaotic games. It makes it far easier to calculate your shots and overall just keep track of the situation.
@RurouniKenshinShinta Жыл бұрын
This. I spent almost my entire life playing on 60hz monitor and i can't express how vital a good monitor is. I might argue that its the most important part of FPS on the list of things you need like a mouse and keyboard. You can have the best peripherals in the world but whats the point if you can't see/track players consistently. For anyone who still uses a 60hz monitor.... seriously, save money and get a 144/165hz.

@@RurouniKenshinShinta Monitor (and of course, the GPU/hardware to drive it) is by far the most important thing to spend extra on if you're wanting to "buy better skill" so to speak. Only issue is that in my opinion the picture is never clear enough with all the effects and blurs and such to keep focused on a small moving character in a game. Especially in Apex. I have the classic 240hz zowie screen with DynAc but I just feel that the gfx + picture size + mivement ghosting etc is just too much. I would think that what matters is visual aids (simpler gfx, vibrance, low blacks..) and looking the monitor with your nose touching it would be the real things to improve this. But for the sake of my eyes, shoulders, neck.. I just can’t do that and have to accept the handicap in this…

on the topic of friction between forearm and mouse mat, I know it might sound ridiculous but for people that have some hair under their forearm, when you start playing regularly what ends up happening is that the hair starts breaking and gets shorter and ultimately it increases friction, a simple solution for that is just to shave the portion of your forearm that contacts with the mouse mat. @TheMeta2 жыл бұрын
Generally speaking the 'best' sensitivity for you will change depending on the aim requirements of the game you play. If the scenarios closely emulate the types of aiming you would do in your game of choice then it can be a great way to find a comfortable sensitivity. If the parallels aren't so clear you may want to experiment in the game you play and take that sens into KovaaKs to train. Each scenario will usually have a sensitivity range that performs the best on it, so choosing a sens purely based on score can be a bit misleading.

you should almost never be shooting without ADSing in a game like warzone, hipfiring is generally bad. get a good sens for movement for your sens thats comfortable for normal movement then fine tune your ads sens. it is okay to use something other than 1.0 ADS sens multiplier. what resolution, what ADS mode (legacy or relative) and what fov setting (affected or independent) do you use?

@Dizzeke2 жыл бұрын
@@yallknowtheresnofear1199 warzone is a much much easier game than cs go, you can spray someone down 150 meters away while strafing with extreme accuracy, cs go is all about headshots and first shot accuracy usually, so you need to precisely be aiming at head height and be able to micro flick and all that. for that specifically, you want lower dpi and in cod people can be anywhere at any height, up or down or behind you. in cs, you pretty much will always be roughly aiming within a few monitor inches of where the enemy is going to be so a lower sens and dpi for easier linear movement is optimal.

I feel like maybe I’m doing more of the looking at than focussing, I’ve been doing eye exercises and in apex 1v1s I’ve been trying to follow the target to better read them, but after this I’m thinking that maybe I’m not actually focussing on them properly. The ceiling fan concept makes sense, so essentially I can still look around with my peripheral vision but still be able to read the target?
@calcomcolt2 жыл бұрын
My take on your last paragraph is you're looking at the crosshair while using your peripheral vision for your target maybe? I stopped doing that because it made my eyes go blurry because I've been staring at my crosshair for many hours, and my monitor is just the right distance away from me. I follow the ceiling fan concept as if the blades are my targets, so in-game I point my crosshair to my target with feel. I don't know if you get this whole block of text, I don't either lol
@TheMeta2 жыл бұрын
The idea is to focus on the target you are fighting, and allow your peripheral vision to absorb info about your surroundings and other potential opponents. The problem many people have is that instead of focusing on their target, they just 'look' at it, so you don't get that locked in feeling.

Although this is a great video and all of the points are valid, it missed a CRUCIAL element: mouse grip. I've played pro CS 1.6 (last tournament literally 18 years ago) and recently I was trying to learn CSGO and play a bit. I was disappointed on how bad and shaky my aim was, and thought it was due to my, uh, "experienced" age. But no, I actually fixed it with a proper grip. Turns out that 18 years without playing a competitive fps and working on software made me default to a claw grip that did not give me nearly enough stability for playing a precise game like Counter-Strike. (For those interested I'm currently using a "hybrid claw/palm" grip, or "aggressive claw" grip which gives me a lot of stability and stopping power, plus it helps locking in horizontal axis which is very good for CS - but there's no "best" grip as it depends on your phisiology and choice of gear as well as the style of game you're playing)

I tried the lowest sensitivity and dpi just to realize that I got shaky aim even with that, my problem was more the coordination between my eyes and my hand, also not being able track with my eyes, I got distracted so easily
