Lower sensitivity doesn't remove shakiness it just hides it. Remember that, the issue can sometimes just be weak hand muscles.
@KindOldRaven
@KindOldRaven 2 жыл бұрын
weak hand muscles, overly tensed hand muscles (stress gets to a lot of us) plus that a lot of us tend to ''deathgrip'' when we notice shakyness, which usually doesn't actually help. It's like a reflex, but a bad one. Here lower sensitivity can help: if you don't notice the shakes, you'll be less inclined to deathgrip. However, this won't fix your shakyness when you up your sensitivity again, exactly like you're saying.

I used to have shaky aim myself when I came back to pc a year ago. I found out it was due to tensing my forearm and gripping tighter in a gunfight. I now play semi fingertip( palm still touches mouse at times) and I kept telling myself to calm down when I got into a gunfight. After sometime, it became natural to just let my mouse "glide" across the pad without any tension.

The ''locked in'' grips, which basically amount to the exact opposite of a loose fingertip grip, can help with smooth tracking aim if you notice that you're shaky while doing it. It might seem weird as people seem to think that max dexterity would be preferable, but if you find yourself having issues with smoothly tracking moving (strafing) targets, give it a try. I think many will be surprised. After you get used to it it's easier to transition it to your standard grip as well for some reason, as long as your mouse's sensor position doesn't change drastically between your grips.

The secret to most practical claw-grips is not actually in the finger curl, the fingers are somewhat in a relaxed, natural stance, but the palm is the real key here, most people i've noticed using a claw-grip including myself actualy don't rest the base of their palm on the mouse, but instead it rests on the mousepad, gliding over it, with two other contact points on the mouse usually being the abductor policis brevis and abductor digiti minimi muscle categories (just google those). Basically, the two largest muscle groups of your palm are the only ones touching the mouse sides, while the actualy base of the palm is rested on the mousepad, this creates a very stable grip on the mouse with less surface area and allows your fingers to naturally find their comfort zone on the mouse itself, variations on this might even have the index finger completely extended with the pinky and ring-finger curled more.

The shaking hand comes as a consequence of the adrenaline that circulates in the body in a situation in this case of action, the only way to control this, because no matter how much you practice the hand will shake the difference will be seen when you can control your emotions in moments of a lot of pressure in a game, it's the only way there's no other way

If you want to get rid of shaky aim, you should try to actively think about not tensing your fingers, wrist, and forearm until you are able to do it subconsciously without the need of actively thinking about it.

Sensitivity isn’t the problem unless you play on absurdly fast sensitivities (below 10cm/360). Slower sens gives you “free smoothness” but you can be very very smooth on any sens even if it’s fast

@@akhilrawat3897 you are already on 37 cm/360 which is pretty normal for most people. I used to play on 15 cm/360 and the shakiness was so alarmingly noticable. Switched to 33 cm/360(fits my mousepad width) and now it feels better and I experience a noticable improvement. You can try practicing with lower cm/360 to develop some control and then switch to higher values and it might get less shaky.

To me my shaky aim isn't due to me being tense or stressed out, to me it's more like a habit I developed over the years in order to look flashy. Back then when I used to play csgo which was like a year and a half ago, I was such a xantares and furiosss fanboy and wanted to be like them, thus I replicated their shaky aim and it kind of carried on with me even in different games like Apex, PUBG, R6, Battlefield and Valorant. I like to keep my some part of my thumb or pinky in contact with the mousepad when Im doing micro mouse movements, it helps me reduce the shakiness in my aim. For smooth and accurate, I press more of my thumb and pinky down; fast and flicky I lift them up. down side to this is that I find it hard to use mouse buttons once you get used to it since u relied so much on the friction of your fingers to help you aim.

That only really happens with me if I'm competing in a high pressure environment or if I'm playing something like R6 Siege for example and I get taken completely by surprise. When I'm relaxed and/or confident I perform a lot better, so for me it's a mindset thing. Paradoxically when I stopped putting myself under so much pressure is when I started to get results. Playing a lot of practices to desensitise myself and become familiar with the game helped also, as does focusing on being smooth and controlled when I catch myself feeling a little flustered. I also lowered my sens (about ~45cm/360 in most games), it didn't drastically improve my aim but it did make me more consistent.

im getting serious pain in my lower ring finger after playing for 2hrs i grip the mouse with my index finger tip on LMB, middle finger on RMB, ring finger and pinkie finger closed/sticked together on the right side of the mouse touching the mousepad and thumb below the side buttons of the mouse. no part of my palm touches the mouse what should i do to avoid this pain? is my grip natural/normal?

If you fingertip, make sure you have a small enough mouse, but not too small and that it's light enough (around 70g or below imo). If you measure the width of your hand+thumb, the width of the mosue should be 60% of that. It could also be possible, that you grip your mouse too tightly.

ive found shaky aim is affected by "Lift Height" more than anything else, my mouse has a setting for it in its software, i recently changed it from Middle to Very low & my aim became rock solid instantly, ive since looked into it further & its a very overlooked spec when it comes to choosing a mouse

since you're an expert aiming coach I really hope you expand your practice in other input type. I'm talking about controller and not normal controller settings no I'm talking gyro aiming. I hope you can make people acknowledge and appreciate gyro aiming because no one cares about it even if it's one of the best aiming methods for some people

@@Healp145 since i made this comment my theory is now just dont think about aim too much. just let your hand react and do its thing and practice till youre skilled. instead focus on whats happening in the game. also, pushing oneself to hit good shots will make one better i think

Could you make a video on how to choose the perfect mouse?
@AgentWoods
@AgentWoods 2 жыл бұрын
That's tricky just because there's so much personal preference involved, what one person likes won't necessarily translate over to someone else. BUT, I would recommend the Zowie mouse fitting kit if it's available in your region and you can afford it ($25 + a $250 hold on your credit card until it's returned). It's probably the best way to try a bunch of different shapes/sizes so you can figure out what you like.
