I just got one of these 2011 equinox ltz's and this issue occured. Is it bad to drive the car in the meantime? Until the hub/bearings are replaced? Mine don't give me any noise or feedback but are showing the error messages.

I have a 2010 Equinox LTX 4 cyl with 130K miles on it. I got an Error message on the screen saying "Service Stabilitrack" and the next day I got a "Reduced Engine Power" message and my car would only go 40 mph. I had recently had all my brakes replaced prior to the Stabilitrack message. Do you think the two error messages are related or do I have a bigger issue to address?

Just got this same car but V6 1st thing it wouldn’t go out of 2nd 3rd gear over 30. Then got P0030 sensor issues. Cleared that but now has the stability issue and engine has a tick. I am so upset and don’t know what to do

Slight variations in the car models, amongst these replies. But the root problem is the same, no matter the trim level, year, model or engine displacement. It's called Chevrolet. Most modern vehicles use hub assemblies now; years ago you had to press the bearing out of the knuckle.

2013. No issues until 100k miles started blowing oil. Chevy put all new pistons in it and now at177k miles. Have had some a/c issues which seems to follow Chevrolet. The stabili light just started coming on. Other than the catalytic converter having an issue, which I didn’t fix this is the first time it’s going in the shop for over two years other than oil changes.

Make sure your abs sensors are plugged in could be the back hubs

HELP? HAVE EASY FIX IF I CAN FIGURE THIS OUT! If this post is even being monitored - I have a stupid question re: the STABILITRAK BUTTON/ switch in the interior console.... A few years back, huge thing of soda was spilled & I know a ton of it leaked thru this spot. The button is super hard to turn on/off & I believe there must be a bunch of gooey sugar/ syrup (at this point) must be having an effect on the whole thing. The warning light comes on it seems, only when it's cold & once the car is heated up - goes away w no problem. Sometimes I'll get a pocket knife blade in there - gently trying to free up the deep edges of the button & after restarting car - light will also go away - so the goo has to be the issue. It's a 2011 Equinox LS but only have about 40k mostly hiway miles on it at this point & is always garaged (in AZ)... So there's no real wear or tear & keep it regularly maintained (syn oil, filters, just got new tires, etc) QUESTION - HOW do I REMOVE THE ORIGINAL BUTTON/ SWITCH to get in there & clean what I can so it can then be REPLACED WITH THE NEW BUTTON/ SWITCH? I don't want to screw anything up attempting to pull it out & I truly believe that the old drying up soda/ sugar is making everything stick in there.... Appreciate any info!

My service stability trak light comes on too but mine only stays on for a few seconds and goes away. When it happens it also my screen in my car go off too. Like the whole screen goes black where it shows my radio station and it does it two seconds and comes back on. Can anyone tell me whats causing this problem?

@@blesd8408 Yes! and i changed alll kinds of sensors that my scanner would tell me, and none of the codes that came up had to do with the wheel bearings. you can look underneath and see if its missing some of the magnet that i show in the video.
