I am using Windows 7. I am getting an error "Transport (VMDB) error -44: Message. The VMware Authorization Service is not running". I don understand why I am getting an error it used to work. I d appreciate for any help

To solve this problem, first confirm logging in as Administrator and check whether the service is actually running or not. To solve this problem, log in as " Administrator" and then click Start Menu > type: " Run". Now type services.msc in the start menu and click OK to continue. The services panel will open, showing all the programs and applications running on the system on the server. Scroll down to find the VMware authorization service. If it shows as " Running" in the status bar, you don't need to do anything, but if it is not running, click the service to start the service.

There is a similar error when installing Workstation 17 on Win11 but these steps do not fix it. :( "Installer detected the host has Hyper-v or device/credential guard enabled"

Disable Hyper-V and device/credit data protection: Press Win + R, type "appwiz.cpl" and press Enter. Find "Hyper-V" and delete it. Press Win + R, type "gpedit.msc" and press Enter. Find "Security policy setting: device protection: protect operating system kernel from unauthorized access", double-click on this option and select "Disable". Create a new virtual machine and install it on a different disk or partition. Update Workstation 17 to the latest version. Connect to the Internet and allow the software to install the necessary updates. If none of these methods solves the problem, try installing a Windows 11 compatible VMware product such as VMware Player.

@@HetmanRecovery i am having Windows 10 Enterprise Version 21H1 OS build 19043:1503 64bit and running VM Workstation 15 Pro 15.5.1 build-15018445, Recently i reinstalled Windows because i changed the Hard drive for laptop to SSD bigger capacity, after installing windows and updating, when i am trying to import or copy VM image, it dont start, it gives device credential guard error. i have tried all steps which are given in your tutorial, but still same error i am getting, at the moment i am using Oracle VM for my labs till i find solution for VM device guard error,
