for others having this issue it could also be a ripped ribbon cable... it was for me. it would start up and run through the calibration sequence just fine but would say gimbal stuck... take the drone apart and inspect the ribbon cables...

This worked for me, had to purchase another ribbon cable cause it was broken. Everything worked fine afterwards

Hey man I crashed mine aswell and after trying everything I also noticed finally that my ribbon cable has ripped. How can I fix it? I don't live near any DJI stores so if I can somehow buy the ribbon cable and replace it myself would be good

My gimbal on the mini 2 stopped responding to the (recenter gimbal ) option on control settings and allow upward gimbal movement..it just hangs down and is completely shaky image..Help..any clues? And I wonder if I am tapping the contro setting right..ugh

Thanks for the content. I crashed my mini2 into the snow and got the gimbal stuck error. As i attempted to use a cool hair dryer to remove dust i noticed that the black plastic carrier that holds the gimbal has forks that were pushed sideways. The camera was impacting the case. I took a chopstick and pushed the entire gimbal assembly a bit to the right and it snapped back in place.

I have a mavic mini with the same problema, gimbal getting stuck, I have used air and applied graphite and improved a little, I´m thinking in applying oil but I'm afraid this will atract dust. Thanks for your useful video.

my gimbal is not stuck but shaking upside down in high frequency with no image at all, I have crashed my drone into a building then it dropped down from 12m to the solid ground in the parking lot, fk me .

Maybe you need to replace the new gimbal cable

I fixed mine by using a pencil and moving the little plastic stabiliser in front of the insides of the drone

Lesson learned, I'm the stupid newbie. Just get my drone 3 days ago, today I'm going for flight practice, get several take off and landing in sandy floor. Now my gimbal is a little not so loose in roll Axis (roll to te left bank) but the roll to the right is pretty loose. I try to blow with hand blower, but I guess it's not so strong enough to blow the grain out. I'll try pressured blower tomorrow, I hope it can help me. Man I was so afraid when I found the gimbal is not working up well suddenly after I change the battery 😅

@@Vchannel79 Yes they are abit sensitive. You can knock the gimbal even removing the cover. Sometimes it helps by undo the screws for the body and blow into the drone itself.

This is exactly what happened to mine today. Once I watched your video I checked and could feel that there’s dirt. Moving the gimbal by hand it still doesn’t level out on its own when tilted in one direction but I don’t feel the dirt

Tip: Use a hairdryer and wiggle the gimbal. I don’t have a vacuum, but this just worked for me to clear the stuck gimbal problem!

Hey mate. My mini was drown on sea water. Then i was able to get it and washed on a fresh water. After cleaning it with fresh water then dry it. It was able to turn on and unfortunately it shows the gimbal stuck. Is it possible to fix with this method?? Thanks in advance

It's belong to your drone status, if the problem just from dust, sand..you can, if it's from cable you must change cable

I bought a SE DJI Mini for 50 bucks, the guy said the gimbal was stuck, it was just some sand or dirt causing the gimbal not to move freely. Just blew it out and was flying...

This happened to my DJI 1 day after purchasing after a small crash. What I noticed was the gimbal was actually LODGED into the socket. It looked completely normal but further inspection showed it stuck too deep. I simply grabbed the gimbal and gently pulled outward - this free’d the lodged gimbal and fixed my problem. How this helps someone else

Same happened to me but now I notice that the camera has a horizon tilt to the left. I tried manually correcting it but it'll tilt whenever I strafe left or right.

Thanks. It only takes a grain of sand. My Mavic Mini's gimbal become stuck after hitting the top edge of a chain link fence that has wooden privacy slats, then flipping over to the other side. The right side gimbal joint shows evidence (scuffed) that it made contact during the crash. After watching your video I was able to get the gimbal unstuck. It took exercising the joints, compressed air, and dental floss to clean in-between the 2 front gimbal joints. I lost control after losing the signal, flying in sports mode, with a tailwind full speed, 35 yards away. Think the issue is flying 5 feet AGL at full speed, won't do that again.
