How to fix your computer after a really bad CPU overclock

This is good info. There’s also an easier way to do this though. On pretty much every motherboard, there are two pins labeled “clear CMOS,” or “CLR CMOS.” Once you have the pc unplugged, you can touch anything conductive to those two prongs. For example, a flathead screwdriver works perfectly. Once you touch them together, it clears your motherboard memory immediately. No need to remove the battery. No need to remove the GPU either, assuming the prongs are reachable by a screwdriver

But this is only if u mess up like a ram over clock or just something that doesnt really harm the pc like a boot loop i had one before too but this one was a terrible oc so thats why u need to take the gpu out and the mb battery

Try unplugging your hard drives and ssd's then turn the computer back on. If that doesn't work do what I did in the video then try. And look for the button that says reset default then save. Then plug your hard drives/ssd's and turn it back on and go back to bios then choose what boot drive you wanna use and load into windows

Try taking out the GPU and reboot the pc and plug the display into the motherboard, if display does not boot up then it’s a cpu issue, if it works a GPU issue

Nope its almost like a reboot, it just wipes the motherboards short term memory nothing else your hdd drive files and or ssd files will be ok

1: Go into the bios of your motherboard. 2: Look around till you find were it says VRAM MGZ or megahertz. 3: Change it back to your manufacturer's base clock speed. " search up your ram on Google and it should come up". 4: If those don't work do what it shows in the video above. 5: If none of these work your ram is fried, you will need new ram.

It definitely works, but once I shut down my computer or even put it into sleep mode, it just does the same thing again, so I have to do the same process of taking out my gpu, removing the battery, waiting, and putting them back in, which is getting really tedious. I also cant use the clear cmos jumper pins since i dont have a jumper. any solution to this?

You can still OC just make sure you have good cooling and search up the safe clock speeds for your hardware
