Some light laptops don’t to be fair. He’s just using a Ethernet to USB connector

No most newer laptops won’t have Ethernet port but the usb to Ethernet adapters are suitable alternatives.

Is the Ctek 5ah charger enough? ive got it at home but still scared to flash the transmission

For XHP that charger should be fine. Transmission flash is not a length procedure. Have it plugged in at least 10 minutes before you begin as it's not the strongest charger.
