To check the oil level: 1.- Start the engine untill it's Hot. 2.- Shut off the engine. 3.- Wait 60 seconds. 4.- Remove the dipstick, and wipe it. 5.- Insert the dipstick and take it out again to see the level. That's way.............

The best advice I can give is replace the amount that you drained out. That way you will not underfill or overfill it. The exterior transmission filter is a real pain in the butt to reach. It's on the left (driver's) side by the firewall. Good luck with that one.

For the transmission yes make sure it’s transmission dipstick
@LUk3.M.11 ай бұрын
You don’t put it through the dipstick, that is the wrong way to do it. There is a bolt in the engine bay labeled ATF, it’s facing up, just need an extension, undo the bolt and put any long funnel in there and fill it, you can fill it a lot faster than trying to go through the little dipstick, and it’s the proper way to do it. Look at the owners manual before making a KZbin video.

I'm in Michigan, just did this service on our 2012 Accord, and it was wet in the same area. It turned out to be water and road grime. The shield traps it, as the shield was covered with the same, along with a thick covering of what looked like concrete, we live on a dirt road. I had to wire brush the splash shield clean and rinse with water. I cleaned up the wet area on the transmission and sanded, applied a rust encapsulator and painted the engine cradle. Minor surface rust, good to catch it now before it gets out of hand. No fun replacing those cradles.

When are you going to perform a flush? I just wasted my time watching yet another drain/fill partial change. As black as that fluid is I would expect you to want to remove more than 4 quarts.
@RBTheMechanic2 жыл бұрын
U don’t watch all of my videos other wise u would understand stand but here anyways I’ll explain flush is for those who destroy and abuse and neglect the car and now they r stuck and it’s all Blocked clogged filthy in there and now ur gonna need to flush and jam thing in places where it’s clean anyways do ur fluid change regularly and it should be easy as this
@MFS45 Жыл бұрын
You NEVER flush these Honda transmissions. Anyone telling you otherwise is wrong. You drain and fill 3 times to replace the vast majority of the fluid. A flush that they typically do at those quick lube places WILL damage your transmission
