2013 Honda Accord V6 ATF DW1 fluid change with torque secs on drai PLUG || Must fush every 30K Miles

Honda and Acura TSB trans flush is 3x fill, run car up to temp, go into all gears, flush and last 3 quarts you fill to dipstick, then check and add when up to temp and gone through gears. 10 quarts total to clear out torque converter fluid too. Don't be cheap, spend the $80 now, instead of $3500 for a rebuilt tranny or used junkyard one with the same issues.

I'm not clear on how long it takes for the fluid to circulate around the system. Can you do the drain-and-fills one right after the other or do you have to drive the car between them and, if so, how long? I did two changes, about 10 days apart.

I don't think that is the normal way to add new trans fluid there is plug for that.

Yeah there’s a fill plug on the transmission. You don’t fill through the fluid level port but if it worked it worked

@@RBTheMechanic i disagree your just mixing new fluid with the fluid that is still in the torque converter, so in all fairness the new fluid will eventually become dirty. With the machine u get all the fluid out and clean the filter at the same time. Yes it cost more but its a better maintenance procedure. Js🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

@@josemarrero7290 well I would do that and charge much more but if u bring me ur car and give me 4 quarts of fluid and ask me how much to do this I don’t think I can add more bottles of fluids out of my pocket how ever the duch bags at dealer screw up all the jobs they give and sell customer fluid that’s why I like Canadian system u cannot buy parts and bring it to shop to install they have mechanic shop unions anyways I can’t change the system

@@RBTheMechanic i understand but its up to us technicians or the shop to advice the customer the best method of maintenance and educate. This method is the old ways that transmissions use to be serviced. I understand what ur saying when customer bring u the parts.
