Nice clear video! Note that the clutch can be bled at the same time using the Motive power bleeder. Thanks!

Yes someone mentioned that on the forum. I’ll have to do that next time. Thanks!

+steved0x haha yeah it works really well! Couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard about that before he showed me recently.

Hi Aaron great video. Do this every two years on my Caymen S using a Sealey Pressure Bleeder which is something similar to yours. As mine is a six speed manual I also have to bleed the clutch which is a real PITA as the bleeder is very hard to get to as it sits way up top on side of Transmission. New low temperature Thermostat arrived today so will be replacing that plus Waterpump at the weekend just as a bit of preventative maintenance. Keep up the good work. Mick 👍🍻

Hey Aaron, I was about to do a fluid flush video fo my channel but I think that you did such a great job that my contribution would be redundant! I'll put à link to this on my page! 🤩

Thanks for the video 🎉. Is there anything I should watch out for when it comes to traction control? Do you have TC?

What is the purpose of the brake pedal push? Does that ensure firmness of pedal when your done? Does this add to what the pressure in the bleeder is already applying? Nice result on the total project. Well played.

+D Wray's Garage I was taught this method by a mechanic I trust. He races Boxsters as well as working on them, so I decided to listen. Exactly WHAT it does or WHY I have to admit that I don’t know 🤷♂️

Great video; when bleeding the brakes wouldn’t it have been a good idea to use a tool such as a Durametric Diagnostic Tool to cycle the ABS unit to ensure all air was removed? Again, nice job on this video.
@HelpMeDIY2 жыл бұрын
+Ron Brown thanks! I’m pretty sure the pressure bleeder should prevent any air from getting in.
@ronbrown90642 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the timely response. The idea was to use the Durametric in conjunction with the pressure bleeder to ensure no air remained in the ABS unit. Again, great video, they are all very informative.

This was a very helpful video. Thank you. Were you able to find a new brake fluid strainer? Porsche doesn't sell this part separately. I would also like to change mine since it's old and breaking apart. Again, thank you in advance.

Hi Aaron, great video. Is this the same procedure if you have Traction Control or will I need a diagnostics tool?
@HelpMeDIY8 ай бұрын
+@christame994 thanks! Mine had traction control. With a PIWIS I believe you can flush the ABS as well.

Hi! Im about to tackle the change from the OEM pads and rotors to the drilled ones, plus I want to paint the calipers and flush and change the brake fluid. In which order should I approach it to not have to go back and forth? Thanks!
@HelpMeDIY Жыл бұрын
+Nicolas Sotera if you remove the calipers to paint then like I did, do that first since you will have to bleed the brake fluid after putting them back on

I see a few different versions of this Motive brake pump available. Which one did you need for this car?

I just added a link to the one I used in the description ;)

When you did bleed the system a second time after hopefully abs kicked in, was there any unwanted air you were able to get out or was it just fluid coming out? I ask cause i did change brake lines and bled the system good but didnt go for a round 2 after i drove the car for a while
@HelpMeDIY4 жыл бұрын
+Gurasis Dhesi honestly I don’t even remember now.

I would've like to have seen flushing the clutch slave cylinder as part of flushing the brake lines.
@HelpMeDIY5 жыл бұрын
+Richard Lopez Yeah someone just told me that there’s a bleed screw like on the calipers between the rear wheels somewhere that shares the fluid. This can (should?) be done at the same time. I’ll look for this next time!

How many 500ml bottles of brake fluid did you end going through?
