Great first video Jesse! Very informative!More great information from UAV Coach! I've been inspired by Sky Candy and Blastr to want to fly FPV. Some of the best videos that are out there are done in FPV.

What goggles and controller do you recommend for the Mobula6?
@BurtonBrah2 жыл бұрын
Hi Rick! 👋 Personally, I use the DJI FPV goggles V1 with an analog adapter kit that allows me to connect an analog receiver module (like the immersion RC RapidFIRE). You need an analog module to view the analog signal that comes from the drone. I use this set up because I also fly a larger DJI digital FPV drone and I didn’t want two different goggles (one for analog drones and one for digital drones). I view the mobula6 analog signal via the AV-in port on the DJI goggles. FatShark also makes great FPV goggles for analog drones. Very comfortable IMO. I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions 😀

What’s the best FPV drone you’d recommend for someone just getting into it? I might crash my first couple micro drones😅
@BurtonBrah2 жыл бұрын
I was flying the Emax Tinyhawk RTF kit when I was just beginning. I’m happy to say it survived a lot of crashes and I still fly it around the house 😂

Great video and thank you! I'm a graduate of UAV Coach which helped me obtain the FAA Part 107 certification. I'm also a realtor and I use my DJI Phantom 4 Pro Version 2 for exterior photos and videos. I would like to have a drone that would enable me to do quick tours inside a home. Do any of these drones mentioned here have better quality cameras and or is any one of these drones or any other FPV drones have a wider-angle camera that would be more suited with what I would like to use it for? Thanks in advance!

Hi Bradley! There are FPV drones on the market for this exact purpose. These drones allow for excellent video/photo quality via a stripped down GoPro that's attached to the drone. In order for it to fly indoors, these drones utilize a lighter frame, propeller guards, and a "naked" GoPro which is a GoPro that's stripped down to bear bones minimum to save weight on the drone. I personally use the Cinestar by Aerial Vation but there are other options out there. GEPRC Cinelog is another option. Gopro even makes a camera that is lightweight for FPV drones. It's called the HERO10 Black Bones. I would not suggest using a micro drone since the camera quality is not as good for real estate photos. Let me know if you have any other follow up questions!

Are there any mini drones (cheaper) that will work with the DJi grey controller and the FPV googles v2?

I don't need it.... I don't need it.... I neeeeeed it! Great video Jesse! Welcome. I have questions... how do the goggles compensate if one has bad eyesight... that means me :P I wear glasses. Also, have there been any studies showing any effect from having the fpv transmitter so close to your head? You're basically attached to a powerful antenna.
@BurtonBrah2 жыл бұрын
Awesome question! Here’s some info: If you wear glasses and the frames are small enough, you can wear them while using larger FPV goggles. Some people opt to 3D print custom frames that attach to goggles with with prescription lenses. Some companies also make these custom prescription lenses that attach to goggles for purchase. Check out HonsVR, but I’m sure there are other companies too. In general, I would recommend getting the original DJI FPV goggles since they have a larger frame and are more comfortable goggles if you wear glasses while flying. (You will need an analog adapter kit and analog module for any analog drones) the tinyhawk RTF 3 kit also has a larger frame on the goggles that come with the kit and are probably large enough to wear glasses while flying. The screen also pops out of the goggles and you can actually fly FPV without wearing the goggles on that kit! Most goggles also have built in adjustments to adjust the distance the screen is from the face which helps with vision some. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any follow up questions

What's the best way to get passed having vertigo while using goggles with a simulator? While flying the Avata it's not as bad, however with the simulator it's almost upchuck time.
@BurtonBrah2 жыл бұрын
I agree. Sometimes I feel dizzy after using a simulator too. Sometimes it helps if you can adjust the frame rate of your monitor to a higher frame rate or adjust the “gravity” settings in the simulator to be more realistic. But I for sure feel your pain there. I always prefer practicing FPV indoors with micro drones over simulator.

Wish I could give FPV a try. But would probably get dizzy in seconds lol
