I'm a beginner weaver. I've done a couple of scarves with hemstitch and fringe. I've held off on making towels, which I'd really like to make, because I don't have a machine to hem. I really like how you take the "fear" out of this. Is there a video showing how you hand-stitch the hem so it's neat and unobstrusive? Or is it the "hemstitch" that I've used with fringed scarves?

We don't have a video on hand-stitching the hems, but our Weaving Manager's advice is to press and pin the hem really well and then you should be able to hand-stitch it like you usually would.

You did not explain how you kept the last few and the first few rows from unraveling when you took the towels off the loom and cut hem apart.
