What an absolutely pleasant experience that was. I have warped for years but never realized how gentle that action can be. You made my spirit rest with your unhurried and totally informative demonstration. Thank you for being so gentle and easy to follow and see. I will look for more of your videos and anticipate them eagerly. How soothing!!!!! wow.... balm to a bruised spirit.... God is good.

With my homespun 2 ply wool yarn, I wound seven yards and ended up with a few inches under five yards after all the warp waste, fulling and dyeing. I knew cotton shrinks (relaxes) and wool shrinks a lot more. I wound 32 yarn at a time then chained them for the 320 ends on my warp.

Did my first warp on my board today before looking at your video. Mine is 10 per inch and I have 13. I was going for 14 but did not have enough. This is a test of my skills for warping and weaving. I have a small table loom and it's not very wide and only two frames for simple weaving. I started my warp on the opposing end of cross. My cross was done around just two pegs and you have your end around three. I think mine will work but I just don't have a large opening but plenty for setting up. Anyway, thank you for the video and instruction. Now to take it off my warp board.

I did not see how you tied off the warp thread when you are done and ready to tie up the warp. Do you tie the end to the sister thread in the 'junk area of the warp?

I end as I began with a loop and an overhand knot. then I catch the loop on the end peg of the warp.
@websyarn6 жыл бұрын
You end the warp as you began, with a loop and an overhand knot. Put the loop on the last peg of the warp and it will be secure. Remember to keep the tension the same as you've had on the whole warp. We hope that helps! Let us know if you need any further help with this!

The command hooks in the video are cracked - looks like the expensive jumbo ones they’re using are still not big enough. The Jumbo Command clothing hang knobs (no hook) might work instead.
