I thought I'd idly click through a basic, casual video and move on with life but I'm sitting here CAPTIVATED by the artistry in folding this flimsy paper like it's a delicate novel to be created and now I am gifted with the knowledge of how to reinforce it cleanly in a pan. 10/10 execution and enjoyment, made my Tuesday afternoon. thank you!

Omg. I’ll be an origami master at by the time I master this!! Thank goodness I have some practice from all of the heart and envelope shaped notes I passed around in elementary school. I knew it would come in handy one day!

This really takes time to make but it will give your loaf clean sides.

Well, I use parchment paper in loaf pan for nut bread and blueberry loaf as well as meatloaf, but I just push a sheet inside and cut off the excess at the top. I skip the origami and it still works fine. You do have to be sure you're pouring your batter into the middle as the paper on the sides tends to want to flop down and you end up with batter between the pan and the paper if you're not careful. Spoon it in if necessary.

That was great. Success the first time I tried it! Thank you!🙏

One tip - if you measure out the narrow ends of the paper a bit longer, when you have the final folded version constructed, you will have two 'lips' at either end which you can then fold back onto the parchment, securing the 'flaps' and strengthening the whole paper box.

I gave up part way and fit the parchment paper into my pan by crushing it under another equally sized pan. I respect the effort of anyone following along to make a perfect fold, but I ain't doin' alla that

Good job but this is more work than I want to put into this task. I usually cut a piece of parchment paper the size of the bottom of the pan. (Nothing for the sides). I cover the bottom with a piece of paper and there's never an issue with my banana bread easily coming out of the pan. I can see where this might be it useful with other things that are baked. Meatloaf?

You cut out the most important part at the end that shows us how to keep it folded but open it to put in the pan.

Oof. This started out well. But the editing is terrible. They cut away during important scenes. And the paper gets spun around too wildly to follow. I appreciate the gesture, but I agree with another commenter that it’s too much like origami, the way it’s filmed. Thanks for trying though 🤷🏻♀️
