How to Fold Quilts to Fit Your Shelves Perfectly!

I folded more than 70 quilts in one day a couple weeks ago as we were getting the new studio up an running and thought you all might enjoy seeing how I fold quilts of all sizes to fit my shelves perfectly.
In the video show you how I fold a lap and a bed sized quilt, both so that they end up the exact dimensions of your shelf so they can look fantastic displayed for all to see.
It really does look stunning when you see all your hard work stacked up with your pretty fabrics on display. It makes a great accent to your living room or sewing room.
Then if you want, you can stick around to watch me fill up the shelves. Don't worry, our fabulous editor cut it down into a really short montage. But it is pretty crazy how many quilts, and quilt patterns I have!

I believe the diagonal fold is a much better way. Eliminates the fold lines, etc. All Brands Sewing Center has a great video and MSQC also. It’s also easy to customize the size for our cabinets using their method.

Absolutely stunning. It must feel so rewarding to see all of your accomplishments in one location. I made a cardboard template to use when I fold my quilts. It makes folding easy & goof proof. With so many gorgeous quilts maybe one day you could make a quilt / slide show of all of your quilts accompanied by music. It would be a lot of work, but visually it would be spectacular.

Your new studio is very nice and I know you are very proud of it... Thanks for sharing how to fold and how often it needs to be done.... I have a suggestion for you.... Maybe you can adjust your microphone.... It is very loud with every breath you take.... May need a cover on your mike to knock out your breaths like singers have,... ... I do enjoy your videos ...keep up the great job!!!!!!

It’s at the very beginning. It is pink, gray and white, when you’re sitting down is that your shoulder level behind the latter. There is a purple zipper pouch hanging in front of it. It looks like there may be three different projects of the same pattern. Thank you so much for taking the time to look at it.

What type of shelving are you using? Are these IKEA shelves?

They are called the Remington Heavy Duty Bookshelf and come in several sizes. I bought mine at Hayneedle a few years ago, but I can't find them on their website anymore, so if you are interested in getting some, you'd need to do a Google search to find them.
