For me being creative involves me leaving what I'm trying to be creative with (example: if I'm in a rut with something, guitar for instance I have to put my guitar away and do something else and normally doing other things gives me inspiration and I have this drive when I pick my guitar up to do something new with whats in my head) if that makes since.

One thing to do with creativity (or maybe inspiration, rather) is to make inspiration optional. "Do it uninspired" is not the only alternative to doing it without inspiration. Just "get to work", nice and calm, nice and steady, nice and quiet. It's not just that inspiration will return if you do; it's that by just doing little things in a workmanlike manner, you can often do better than you would have under the influence of the vapours of enthusiasms. The other thing is to try and make it deliberate. You might enjoy some of Edward de Bono's books on creativity. Old, but great.

People say that you're not helping because they don't know this is advanced guitar lessons. This is way above most people's level. Jazz music is complicated, another whole level. I have some experience with the guitar.( Spanish or nylon strings). I've been playing for a while. I know all basic major and minors chords, and the 7th, and the scales and how the work and I know like 2 or three basic chord progressions. I can play a few songs too, the best song that I can play right now is "my heart will go on" doing chords and melody at the same time. What would be the next step ??

@@andyesp4702 There's your trouble right there! Seriously, learning to read music notation has made a world of difference for me. Seeing how the staff positions relate the fret positions on the guitar has opened a whole new world of comprehension for me. Also, maybe you have a classical with no dots at all? Or one of those fancy guitars that has big pearl rectangles instead? Someday, I too will have a fancy pearl rectangles/no dots guitar. I can dream...

I have noticed creativity to be very linked to my mood and my love of the specific guitar I have at the time. When my guitar was vicious assaulted I lost my will to even play for a few days. I play best when I'm.super pissed weirdly enough, or on a good mood ... Or if a pretty chick is in ear shot my.mind is like hey let's play better than we ever have before lol. So if I had. the ideal of inspiration is false, sets you up to procrastinate and thus fail. It's not necessary. It comes to you when you call on it. I learned working for newspapers and mags, in my art work and music that writer's block and other lacks of inspiration is a BS excuse to avoid getting down to it. It's a matter of force of will, like Yoda said, "do or do not, there is no try."

Sage vs Taylor, sounds like a good match up. I'd guess, for similarly priced guitars, they are on par with each other, although the Taylor doesn't come with a hard shell case, at least mine didn't :P It came with a pretty good gig bag. (Personally, I prefer hard shell cases.)
