if you died on that stair you have to go to the next room with another stair and turn this around. if you did this the first stair will be back to its normal position

To open the door at the top of the ladder, you need to go to the platform you saw the snake pull the lever that initiated that weird noise. There will be a chest there with the Archive Tower Giant Door Key and that's the key you need to open the door.

@@brokenlordofcinder4128 yes he will move to archives even if you don't buy his spells...happened to me on my first playthrough and i read somewhere that later sells his stuff even without the 15 intelligence requirement but i've never tested it

I suppose you free him from sen's fortres, but killed seath without freeing logan? In that case, logan acts as if he is already freed (so just go to any guide and see where he would be if you freed him from his cell). He is near this path: consider the shortcut from bonfire to the backyard filled with crystal golem (then to seath bossfight where you can kill him.) For that path, goes from the bonfire. Instead of to the backyard from bookshelves-room, you turned left into a dark room, right before you enter the bookselve-main-room. Logan is hidden inside.

There play through a to get this fucking sorcery achievement and every single time I unlock the cell he doesn’t go to the room in dukes archives. I could understand once but three times in a row? Really pissed about this, been trying to find a work around online and just keep finding these explanations of how to do it which makes me angrier because I’ve not missed one step

@@mgene8093 I can’t remember now but there are certain steps you need to take to get him there. Because I was stuck here for so long I’ll find out for you and come back and let you know. Although if you’re impatient there’s a video on here I used to get him there I just can’t remember what video that was. If you find out before I come back let me know
