HOW TO: French Braid Tutorial on Natural Hair

Hey guys I'm back with a tutorial on how to french braid on natural hair. i did this style a few months ago before i had a channel and everyone asked for a tutorial so i finally uploaded on lol.

Nice job! These are the only braids I can do. Inverted/underbraids/french braid. I could never learn corn rows/over braiding!

Will this work if your hair is cut uneven. Someone cut my hair when I was sleep so I was hoping that if my hair was in a protected style and well nourish and moisturized it would grow back.

This is not french, this is African and its known as Cainrow. This is cainrow done over and cornrows is done under but it's the same method This is a plaiting that comes from West Africa and also came with the Slavery.

how is the middle supposed to stay in the middle when you said to bring the middle out? That's the part that's so confusing. I'm going to continue to study this.

BlackBrunnette the middle strand stays in the middle at the beginning of the braid the other 2 strands criss cross over it to create the inverted look as you braid on the middle will switch from right to left but it comes back in the middle with hair from both sides.

You're not my daaad ‘cause that’s what it’s called. You’re getting it confused with a Dutch braid (which are the braids used in cornrows). They look very similar, but it’s not common to see black women doing French braids. It’s mostly a white girl thing.
