TOO CUTE! She was going just about as Sonic the Hedgehog, but I think she was expecting us to know how to fishtail beforehand. I haven't tried this on my own hair yet but it shouldn't be too hard.

This really is a gorgeous hairstyle...I would love to wear this...great job!Reading through the comments, however, the general consensus is the same...rough on client, arm in the way and speaking too fast or not speaking enough...The best thing to always remember while doing a video...speak to us...we are the ones you are doing the video for. Enlist help from someone, just because you know how to do this doesn't mean that you can teach this.

It was one of my earlier videos, the directions are a million times better in the most recent tutorials. The voice over gives clear directions, I apologize and will consider re filming!

At first, I was like "whoa, they do look different!", but AFAIU the main difference is just that in the original version the "French" part is more S-shaped. Changing the direction of a braid is quite simple, in principle - it basically goes wherever you want it to go - but a curved shape like this must be a lot harder to pull off nicely, especially on yourself.

Not a very instructional video! There are several really good tutorials on the Conch Braid, I would recommend any of the other ones where you can actually see what the stylist is doing and follow along.

your braid is very pretty! It doesn't seem to quite match the other one (picture on the left) but it's still a beautiful style! And people, if you have ever done braids and then watch this video, you will know that she is NOT pulling her all around, she is being very gentle with her, but the video is sped up... that's all!

I'm pretty sure the braid that you're trying to do is like a waterfall braid .. but instead you made it as a French braid. But it still looks good.

hey, the picture that you were trying to recreate is not a brade. the hair is twisted there. and hair was pulled out to make volume. it was probably divided the same way you did.

The two pictures at the beginning are different braids. The one on the left is not a fishtail braid. I'm assuming that's the picture you found on Pinterest and the other is your recreation. Very cute but, not the same.

it looks like its just the opposite- it looks like you should start a normal fishtail and just keep taking from the right side from the beginning, curving it around, and then continuing with a normal fishtail without taking, and then putting it into a bun.
