My milk volume increases but still milk is not think enough for latte art.what could b the issue And while plunging temp of milk drops and i get a warm coffee not hot
@EntekCoffee
@EntekCoffee 3 жыл бұрын
You need to plunge the surface of the milk as I explained in the first video to increase the volume. As I said there, for latte art, a third of volume increase should be enough for latte art. Heating the milk above 70C is not recommended as it breaks down the milk, so if you don't like the temperature dropping you can pre heat your French press with boiling water. I find it to be a non issue, honestly, so that's why I don't highlight it in my videos.

@@manisharora6233 Could be. Try heating it to 65. Latte isn't supposed to be hot either, so it's best to keep it at 65 C.

Hello, now I try again and again, using cocoa poweder with hot water. I put 6-7 grams of cocoa and water, in total 35g. I hope this is the right blend.

@@EntekCoffee no way to improve it, also w/ cow milk. I use now a sort of 150ml cup (still flat at the bottom though). It looks that foam is not well mixed to liquid milk. Thus on the top I have liquid milk and all the foam is at the bottom. I don't find a way to get a well mixed "milk" in the pitcher.

I suggest not delaying between pouring and frothing. There might be a possibility that the milk "separates" while you wait. Also, try a different brand of milk.

Is it possible to pour the milk directly from the french press rather than from a pitcher?
@EntekCoffee
@EntekCoffee 2 жыл бұрын
It is technically possible, but once you use a milk pitcher the result would be a night and day difference.

Hi may I know will the brand or type of french press may affect the milk foam?
@EntekCoffee
@EntekCoffee 3 жыл бұрын
As long as it is a French press it should work. I've tried many brands and it didn't matter that much.

everything is fine except lots of bubbles and my latte art disappeare so fast .is it normal with French press?
@EntekCoffee
@EntekCoffee 3 жыл бұрын
You can be more careful when lifting the plunger of the French press from the body in order to not introduce new large bubbles. You should not be having the art disappear quickly, if you follow my tutorial it should stay.

For adding air (plunging the surface of the milk), you can see the volume. If the desired volume is reached, you can stop plunging the surface of the milk. For plunging the bottom of the milk, you can do with any number but personally I like to press at least 50 times.

@@ThePhenom9x Whole/full fat milk is always preferred over low fat. In my experience, at least, whole fat milk always pour better than low fat.

@EntekCoffee
@EntekCoffee 2 жыл бұрын
@@wyavs8187 As I said, it might be that you were too aggressive when plunging the bottom of the milk. What could happen is that the amount/time of plunging doesn't matter, because plunging aggressively will create unwanted foams. Try doing it lightly for 50 times and see what happens.

@@EntekCoffee like how many time you pump to add the air? How many times you pump after adding air to smooth the milk texture (just like we swirl using the espresso machine)
@EntekCoffee
@EntekCoffee 3 жыл бұрын
@@Teojiajin My guideline is the volume of the milk. If it has increased in volume for about 30%, I will stop adding air into the milk. I believe I covered this in the first video. As for plunging the milk after aerating is done, I don't have a strict guideline. You can stop anytime you want. As long as you don't wait too long for the milk after the frothing process, I don't think you need to swirl the milk.
