This is awesome. Looking at how to detail my bike better ( it’s a Buell xb9 )and see this. A guy detailing a Buell. But I’m scared to death to soak the bike. It’s a Buell. It may never run again.

Question! Why not top to bottom when washing? Can’t all that dirt and grime just drip down onto the tires and stuff? I’ve never detailed so I’m curious

Vice versa when you’re cleaning the wheels all the wheel grease dirt and brake dust will fly on the paint. Best to get the dirtiest part done first. Then top to bottom on the body

What did you use for polish on the plastic wind deflector?

In this instance we used BOSS Correcting Cream with a BOSS Fast Correcting Pad. If you have lesser swirls or defects swirls we recommend BOSS Perfecting Cream or Complete Polish with a BOSS Perfecting or BOSS Finishing Foam Pad.

How much would I charge for a motorcycle detail without any polishing? Just foam bath wash?

We're not super familiar with the going rate of motorcycle detailing services, best thing to do would be shop around for similar services in your areas.
