I just replaced the battery in my 2011 Infinity G37 thanks to this video. One thing I noticed - the preset radio stations were not lost to my surprise after battery disconnect/change out. Thanks for posting this video - saved a trip (and $$) to the dealer!

Thanks! After one failed attempt, I watched your video and then changed the battery without a problem. This was done outside at nighttime with the temperature below freezing and using a headlamp and a trouble light - not recommended unless you are desperate (I was).

This is a common problem when retained power is lost. You will need to perform the following procedure, it’s real simple and resolves this issue. That can occur if the battery is drained and is easily reset. 1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position. 2. Close the door. 3. Open the window completely by operating the power window switch. 4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely. 5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by the automatic function to confirm the initialization is complete. 6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other windows.

Thanks for the video, but did you have any problems reinstalling the trim around the windshield? I have a lump and it's not flush like the other side, the connection between the trim piece we pulled out and the long trim piece that stayed on the windshield.

Forget all the comments on how bad the OEM batteries are. Just changed my 2010 today 3-15-17. Tip: spray a little WD40 on the bottom side of each retainer clip and they will come off easier.

@Kevin Grivich Hey man, thanks for the video. I managed to change out my dead battery before I saw your video. My issue now is with the window, which I will fix now since I read your post here. Also, one other MAJOR issue I am having, my airbag light is now flashing since I replaced my battery. I watched some other videos and what they say will NOT work for me and I am doing it correct. I have a 2012 G37 Journey. They say to turn on the ignition, once the airbag light goes off, turn off the ignition and do it 3 more times, then start the car. Another says to do it 4 times, still not working. Do you have a fix for this, if so, thank you in advance. :D

Windows should all be in the up/closed position, even then, you may have to redo the window reset procedure, listed in the comments section...Cheers!

I have a 2010 g37x. I can't move the positive (red connection out of the way like yours moved in the video. there is some wiring attached that won't allow enough room to clear the battery. Help?

I know from a Fx35 the cables are stiffer, but you should be able to clear the battery, maybe a second person to hold them out of your way or use a bungee cord to hold it for you?

+Kevin Grivich Got it! Thanks Kevin! Looks like the OEM battery so everything is nice and stiff. Pulled up the foam section that insulates the wall where the cables go through and that gave me enough room. Always hesitant to force things as they seem to come apart better than go back together. Tips on getting the windshield weather stripping to line up again? Thanks again for the video! -Liz

True...things come apart easier than going back together! Keep calm and just ease the weather strip back into place, it's more pliable if it's warmed from the sun first. Cheers!

It's been a while since I've had my G35 sedan, but I believe they are similar but I don't remember having to remove the back piece against the windshield to access the battery.

09 G37 here, red top installed Jan 2015. It had a rough time starting the car during the polar vortex this winter approx -15F. I regularly use a battery tender and had it on the nights before the "barely started" incidents . I could probably nurse it along to its 5th birthday but I'd be pushing it if we get another cold snap before then.
