what i dislike abt arenanet is that they didnt make inf gathering tools account bound and the extra bag slots that you buy with gems this just pisses me off SO MUCH they really gotta make money somehow

I thought the Consortium Harvesting Sickle was the fastest but I haven't tried the molten sickle. I like both the glyph of industry for speed, and glyph of reaping. I mainly use reaping on herb nodes though because there's a lot of places that have herbs in a large area. I wish we could make legendary harvesting tools that are usable on all characters, and 2 glyphs could be added to it. I'd use industry + reaping glyphs if Anet ever did that. Would be awesome. Anet could make an achievement or something for turning infinite tools into legendary ones or something (or just combine 4 account bound infinite gathering tools perhaps?? Goodness knows, I'd bought so many account bound ones with gems just for the convenience of having my main classes not have to worry about buying tools all the time.

I have the skyscale one i think, with the glyph of reaping, and that's really useful, especially for gathering large node clusters, like flax, or spinach, but the Fused Molten Sickle, and the Consortium Harvesting Sickle, have the fastest animations, so combining the two would be absolutely busted!

Hello, thanks for a great video! I was just wondering about the advanced harvesting sickle, the wiki says "Has 125 uses. Functionally equivalent to Orichalcum Harvesting Sickle". And it doesnt mention anything about increased chance of rare drops, could you explain your reasoning using it? Thanks!

Also, fast.farming states that glyph of volatility is the best one to use for mussel farm

@@nitroxi10 well i use this for the chance of the rare drops , would u rather get a 30 silver worth of volatile magic or more chances to drop a 90 silver item even multiple times , its up to you

@@sylvarixreaper Thanks for the reply! I don't think it works the way you think it does. How I understand it, is that its equivalent to Orichalcum Harvesting Sickle, which means that the "uncovering rare components" part doesn't make the harvest Ruined Plant Fiber after harvesting. The wiki also says smth about "Always gathers Varietal versions of Cilantro, Clove, Mint, Peppercorn, and Sesame" but it wasn't the case in the video, so don't know if it actually enhances drops in any way. What I mean is that I think you've just been buying expensive Orichalcum Harvesting Sickle for 2 laurels for no real gain :/ (apart from the fact that it has much more charges which is irrelevant for you)

love the video concept, but are the unbound tools fastest unbuffed? pretty sure Glacial Logging Tool is faster with quickness, and Skyscale mining is faster with quickness, and also will harvest rich nodes in 2 animations vs 3 (there's a couple other mining tools that do this, but not as fast)

Making a comparison of two tools while having quickness on the molten sickle isn't really a great idea. Either have both with quickness or none :/

In Dragonfall, you can get the volatile karma harvesting tools without doing a heart. You just need to do one achievement (out of 4).

Yo, great video. Isn't one of the Banner effects give an increased rare harvesting drop chance too? Banners should be easy to find in WvW map entrances. That could help you increase your "luck" with the big money drops.
