Excellent explanation. We did the same. We are into doing disciplined SIP since 2004. The initial amount was as small as 5000 rupees. Now at 60 we bought a new house and the installments are managed through SWP and we are so very much at ease....!!❤

All I can say is this video must be part of school curriculum and college and government need to declare this as a must watch for their citizens. It took ages for me to understand these things but Value research is giving free. If I understood this 20 year before I would have been in a very much comfortable financial position. Now I am a premium customer. The key word is inflation adjusted retirement planning. Please change the title of this video and circulate to everyone as much as possible. I am doing it now. If we have done sip in small cap and multi cap funds for 20 years then should we do swpnfrom the same funds or switch the corpus to hubrid funds and then do the swp? What do you recommend?

I understood one has to do asset allocation based on the %amount of withdrawal. ie 40% to 60% in debt (preferably Sovereign bonds+ post office monthly income scheme+ senior citizen saving scheme). Remaining in equity with swp for the rest of the income needed. The equity component can be in an aggressive hybrid fund. (SWP from equity needs to be lowered or stopped during the time of prolonged bear market to prevent capital erosion). So essentially the corpus has to be moved into these instruments before doing swp. (I think Midcap and Smallcap funds may not be good choices for swp since high volatility is not desirable for swp.) I hope I am at least somewhat correct!

I am Ketan Raval from Ahmedabad. My age is 59 & retired. I shall start my monthly expenses Rs.40,000/- after two years . I am having conservative hybrid fund of MF sbi , hdfc , absl , icici & kotak MF . Each having 5 lakh investment since last 02 years. Is it right timing in current market scenario to switch over into Agressive hybrid or Balance Advantage funs into same AMC !! Should I switch lumps in a multiple shots or do STP ??

My portfolio is QQQM, VOO, and SCHD, but I added BRK.B because I feel like it has a mix of growth and security. The first million I made was from stock trading investment, started with 100k using the help of a Pro in this field and its been a great choice since, now I have time for my self and family as I'm retired.

LTCG will be taxed separately @ 12.5% and it has nothing to do with your lower tax bracket after retirement.

Yes, it is a better option especially if your risk tolerance is moderate. If you are an aggressive investor you can opt for aggressive hybrid fund and conversely if your risk appetite is very low you can choose conservative hybrid fund.
