OMG, my ends are the same!!! I end up with a super puff bunch of ends after I blow dry, I usually have to do what you just did, but I would like to find a method that doesn't require a flat iron...

i was like this cant be damaged hair , i just big chopped like 3 months ago and only flat ironed my hair 2 times tops ! lol

For those of you interested, my hair was blow dried on a previous day and my ends had already began to revert back. My hair revert very quickly especially if I wear it out in a puff-the ends sort of "round off". Do I believe I need a trim? absolutely! However, even with a fresh trim my ends revert back quickly if I don't flat iron right after I blow dry. We all have different hair from one another. Welcome to mine :-)

I wish have seen this last night when I did daughters hair 😐those ends still give me quivers. I have literally only flat ironed her hair twice in her life and she is 17 and those ends have made me wonder if her hair was part hay😕thank you I' m going to try this. I was using that little comb and that thing laughed at me in the face of danger.

YES Boo, I do this method too. I have been straightening my hair for a month and a half now and learned this method on YT, however I use a rattail comb. My ends get perfect that way and I love it. I have been enjoying doing my hair in its stretched state so far.

From a hairdresser, your end need cutting that's why it's not straightening and passing 3+ times with any flat iron or comb is to much heat. Try trimming to get rid of the dead ends and get a good intense moisture treatment once a month to get the most of your hair every time. Hope this helps
@MissM-zu8vb2 жыл бұрын

Do you think blowing your hair out with a large round brush would help with your ends? Maybe just brushing your ends with a round or bristle brush when you are almost finished blow drying it will help smooth out your ends faster?

Omg thank you so much! I have struggled with learning how my hair works; I was adopted and my parents had little to no experience with African American hair, so i have always struggled with what to do with my hair. This video was a life saver! Thanks 🙏💕

Another thing that works really well,for me is the instyler it combs and straighten the hair in much less steps!
@SimplyClassicT11 жыл бұрын
have you thought about adding an oil (ex., coconut or olive oil) to your ends to help soften this will make it easier for your comb, brush, and flat irons to pass through to get them straight and using less heat.
@bwoodsfinest11 жыл бұрын
When I moisturize my hair before the flat iron to where it is ever so slightly moist, It straighten extremely well in about 2 at most 3 passes and I don't get damage.

Omg! Just what I needed! My ends are identical to yours. I never flat iron because my ends all look fuzzy but I’m going to try this 😀 Now, My only wish is that I did not throw out my Denman brush a while back because it tore out my hair the first time I used it. But, of course I found out later that I was using it wrong🤨
@jrlottery711 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing! My hair is just like yours at the ends. I'll give this a try during those special occasions that I need a straighter look. Also, when you're ready to replace your flat iron, you may want to consider the Instyler Wet2Dry model. That's what I use and helps with straightening while preserving your curl pattern. Thanks again - God Bless!

Thanks for this vid. I couldn't work out how to straighten my ends either. I guess the problem is that I only do two passes with heat TOTAL. I'll give this a go next time I want to straighten my hair.
@chandlerwatkins39257 жыл бұрын
If you do a good blow dry I use low heat before you press your hair you can do it with only one to two passes on the flat iron without needing extra maintenance on the hair I like to do this when I use my shea moisture color treatment system that comes in a brown and yellow packaging my hair gets so silky and nice and lasts I also have 4c

You're right...a lot of heat...but it works. Those of us with type 4 hair whose ends look like yours may have to try...thanks much. Will be using that for back to school for my teens. I feel so bad. Was doing a light relaxed 3x per year and one of the girls hair broke off all the way around. It was past bsl and broke up to neck length. So...no relaxer now for over a year.
