Lets build a super strong wall cabinet. Getting more space in my shop is always an important consideration. I show you how to build a cabinet that will give you much more space. I plan on building more of these cabinets and get my shop better organized. This cabinet is easy to build and is a great addition to the shop.

Brilliant idea. I'm always out of space and don't have much wall space. Going to build it with one add on.I'm going to put it on a cart so that I can pull it to wherever I need it in the shop.It will cut down on time spent walking around.

I use the french cleat system a lot as well. Depending on how much weight you have in the cabinet, this could be converted easily.

Red Dog Workshop asked about your panel saw which takes up wall space. After injuring my back I could no longer cut plywood on the table saw so I made a wooden cutting guide for my circular saw and cut off the excess beyond the blade so it is zero clearance. I cut the panel to rough dimensions and it works fine. I have compared it to a Festool tracksaw in several tests and my cuts are dimensionally comparable. The advantages of the Festool areq a more stable track to guide the saw, nice vinyl strips on the underside to provide slip resistance for the track, built in track to attach a clamp anywhere along the track and a system in a box approach. The homemade guide is dirt cheap, you likely already have a circular saw that cost you less than Festool. I do my rough cuts outside on plywood with 1 or 2 inch foam board on top then final cuts on the table saw. You might consider that approach for now, then when you get rich, but the Festool.

Your video was awesome! Would you have a set of plains on this build I would love to have a set. I was injured when using my table saw and it is still set up the way I had it set the day of my injury and that was three years ago. You have sparked my interest in woodworking with this cabinet, this might be the thing that gets me back out in the shop and I have a great need for something like your cabinet. Again thank you for all the hard work you do making the videos I know it is not any easy job. GW Ps I have subscribed and hit the bell

Excellent idea & execution. Mine will be somewhat similar, but due to limited space and location restraints the doors will only open on one side and the cabinet box itself will be deeper in order to allow me to have a properly angled plane till. I may have a saw or two (or three - "or more") hanging on the unhinged side for easy access for the unhinged woodworker. We'll see.

Excellent video and process. Thank you for sharing. In response to your request for questions, I'm interested in building a benchtop router table for a small shop around 24in in length, 14in deep, and 12 to 14in tall. The height is contingent on the trim router I'll be using. Thank you for any suggestions.

Ok, great. Are you planning to put a router lift in it as well. If so, are you going to build it?

Thank you very much. I do not have plans for this cabinet. I put most if not all the measurements in the video to build your own

I subscribed to your channel a few weeks ago. Really like this project and the 8x storage space cabinet you made afterwards. I noticed in this video "How to Get 4x Storage in a Wall Cabinet (Part 1)" that you started out by cutting your plywood with a panel saw. I was wondering if you built your own panel saw and if so, I would be interested in seeing a video on how you built the panel saw. If not, do you have a source for the plans to build one? I am planning to build my own panel saw soon.

I actually built this many years ago. I'm planning on removing it from the shop in the near future because I need the space and I do not use it enough to justify the space it occupies.

To like the Swiss Army Cabinet ! I like the design concept quite a bit as everyone is tight on wall space in our shops Looks like you use some pretty good plywood for shop cabinets too i am located in he North East. And. Finding decent plywood for a fair price is quite a challenge i have a older cousin i the same area. And he and i always talk about that issue as he and i both have a history in Commercial Woodworking and like to work with better materials these days most of our supplies come from the ig box stores so we are imited to whatever they. Stock that are often more about t their profit margins then the quality our general conclusion has been that the imported Baltic Birch Py they carry is one of the better deals or else we are stuck wit MDF and he ad i both dont like the dust of MDF although it does have some Good characteristics for retain applications I personally try to avoid it whe i can I recently saw a Woodworkers tool storage cabinet that has a similar design to your cabinet yet is on wheels and stands around 6 foot tall he also incorporated a French Cleat system on the interior to. Make custom Tool holders that can be moved around in the compartments i thought it was pretty sharp plus another advantage was it all folded up and was lockable Which is a nice feature. When you work in a large commercial shop Nd leave your personal tools in the building over night Like any security it helps keep the honest people more honest IMO as i have had co workers “ borrow” things like router bits and forget to return them Ironically ive always engraved my router bits in a not so obvious. Way and i have gone to retrieve what. Is mine ! As a rule i can reckonize its missing immediately as i am very OCD about my tool organization myself my Co workers used to make fun of me because i like my things clean and organized It never bothered me as i feel that it helps me do a good job. At whatever I’m working on
